Ⅰ.Teaching aims
Knowledge aims:
1. 能正确运用动名词短语做主语进行书面表达:Staying up late is bad for your health.
2. 能正确地运用must, mustn’t提建议:
You must have a good rest.
You mustn’t smoke in the classroom.
Skill aims:
1. 能听懂有关影响健康的好习惯和坏习惯的对话。
2. 能熟练地运用must, mustn’t提建议。
3. 能正确朗读有关影响健康的好习惯和坏习惯的对话或文章。
Emotion aims:
通过语言学习,影响学生的自身品格,要学会辨别好习惯与坏习惯,养成好习惯,戒掉坏习惯,保持健康。
Ⅱ.The key points and difficult points
Key points:
look tired, watch a soccer game, go to bed late, wash hands before meals, go to school without breakfast, keep fingernails long,等短语的理解及运用。
Difficult points:
动名词做主语的正确运用。

Step One Greeting
Step Two Daily report
Ask the students to do the daily report, help them revise the last class and get ready for learning.
Step Three Warming up
The teacher asks some questions to lead in the new class. Stimulating the students’ interest in learning. Teacher tells the students, “In our life, there are many good habits and bad habits. Let’s look and say.”
Step Four Listening and reading
Ask the students to listen to the tape, then ask some students to say their answers.
Step Five Ask the students to watch the video and fill in the blanks. Then the teacher checks the answers. At last, ask the students to read together .
Step Six Explain the language points
Step Seven Pair work
At first, the teacher asks the students to make conversations in pairs, then let each group show one passage and a representative read the passage aloud.
Step Eight Consolidation and Summary
Ask the students to do exercises in class, then summing up the class.

Ⅶ.Teaching Reflection
It’s hard for the students to use gerund as subject, and use “should/shouldn’t”, “must/mustn’t” to connect the verb phrases. I think the teacher should let students practice them more often.
