【教材分析】本单元以Saving the Earth为主题,共包括三个话题。通过Kangkang, Jane, Michael等人谈论环境污染带来的问题及怎么保护环境等,完成本单元三个话题的语音、词汇、语法和功能项目的学习。本节课是第二单元的第三话题的第一课时,本课的主要活动是1a, 1b,1c,3a和3b。将通过展示本节课的学习目标让学生了解学习内容,做到有计划有目的地开展教学,并通过出示学生平时回收生活废品的实际生活体验引导学生会对日常生活废品进行分类,树立环保意识,之后通过Journalist对Jane的采访,询问有关Jane在环保组织的活动,学习对如何在家和在校对环境保护这一话题提出建议,最后,让学生根据本节课或已有的知识进行讨论并自由谈论如何成为一个环保小卫士,让保护环境,从身边小事做起这一理念深入到生活的每一个角落,落实到具体行动中来。1b是个难度系数比较高的听力任务,它不是单纯的考查听写,而是要求学生在听懂内容的基础上,对材料进行归纳以后再填空。而1c是阅读对话根据对话内容进行填空和新对话的设计,旨在向学生传播环保理念。3a和3b是在考查学生的垃圾分类意识之后,再通过听对话来进行验证。因此,本课设计的活动本人从易到难,层层相扣,这样不仅能提高学生的兴趣,还能让学生很好地完成本课的学习任务。
【学情分析】对于九年级的学生来说,能自觉进行新课预习,由于本课新单词较少,而且新课前已将新单词教授给学生,学生只要能在具体语境语篇中理解,学起来会比较轻松。环境保护与生活息息相关,信息量较多,因此教师要对教学任务合理分配,能面向全体学生,让学生在已有知识的基础上去进行表达,把问答、学生的合作讨论和小组活动贯穿整个教学过程中,贴近学生生活图片和具体实物废品可以吸引学生学习的兴趣,激发了学生学习的主动性。
【教学目标】
1.知识与技能:
(1)学习新单词:protection, organization, recycle, plastic,can,battery…;
(2)学习谈论:what we can do at home and at school to protect the environment
(3)学会分类:different kinds of garbage.
(4)学会谈论:”How to be a greener person ”
2.过程与方法:
(1)师生互动,小组合作讨论;
(2)图示法展示。
3.情感态度价值观:
通过对Section A的学习,要求学生能根据1a和3a的内容自由谈论怎样成为一个环保使者,帮助他们树立环保意识;能对生活废品进行分类,乐于做环保使者,增强社会责任感和忧患意识。
【教学重点】
(1) 学习本课新单词并能根据Jane在环保组织的工作谈论What can we do at home to protect the environment.
(2) 能根据”3R”进行垃圾分类.
【教学难点】
要求学生在学习本课的基础上进行自由谈论话题:How to be a greener person.
