简单句,即拥有一套主谓结构的句子。
一套主谓结构是指一句话中有一组主语和谓语。
宾语从句的定义

宾语由名词、代词、不定式或相当于名词的词、短语来担任。

that:在从句中无词义,不充当成分,只起连接作用,
在口语中常被省略。
I hear (that) he will be back in an hour.

一、从句原形是陈述句的,由that引导。

if/whether:引导宾语从句表示“是否”之义,
在句中不充当句子成份。
二、从句原形是一般疑问句的,由whether,if引导。

宾语从句的引导词
三、从句原形是特殊疑问句的由连接代词who,whom,
whose,which,what和连接副where,how,why,when
引导。
Do you know whose book it is ( 谁的,作定语)
Could you tell me why the train is late (为什么,作状语)
He wonders who can answer the question.(谁,作主语)
这些连词既有词义,又充当句子成份。
宾语从句的语序
无论主句是陈述句还是疑问句,宾语从句都是运用
陈述句的语序,即“主+谓V+其它”的顺序。

宾语从句的时态
1)主句是一般现在时,从句根据实际情况使用任何时态。
She says (that) she works from Monday to Friday.
Peter wants to know what Lucy was doing at 8:00 yesterday morning.
2)主句是过去时态,从句须用过去时态的某种形式。
My aunt asked me when I would buy a new car.
3)当宾语从句表示的是一个客观真理或者事实时,无论主句是什么时态,从句都用一般现在时态。
The teacher told us (that) nothing is difficult if we put our hearts into it.
He said that light travels much faster than sound.
