Step 1 Warming-up
T:I like traveling very much.I have been to many places,such as the Great Wall, the Bird’s Nest , Terracotta Army, the Palace Museum .I think they are very wonderful. Do you like traveling Have you been anywhere interesting
Ask more students to answer the questions above,if the same definite answer,help answer “Me too”;if the same negative answer, help answer “ Me neither”.
Step 2 Lead-in
Show pictures of space museum, amusement park, zoo, water park),the teacher asks, and the students answer.
T: Have you ever been to the space museum
S1: Yes, I have.
S2: No, I haven’t.
S3: Me neither.
Step 3 Pair work
T: Now, ask and answer questions with your partner about the places in the Daily greeting. Let students do oral revision in the process of checking homework.
Step 4 Pre-listening
1. show some pictures like the Terracotta Army, the Great Wall, the Bird’s Nest,
the Palace Museum. Let some Ss answer the questions using the words :
Have you visited the Palace Museum
Have you been to the Great Wall ..........
2.Ask Students to read and try to remember these words. Then, finish 1a.
3.Do pair work and make the conversation.
T: Let Ss learn to use these words and make conversations with their partner.
Let some pairs show their conversations.For example:
S1: Have you visited the Palace Museum
S2:No, I haven't. Have you been to...
S1:Yes,...
Step 5 While-listening
1. Work on 1b. The teacher plays the recording for the Ss to listen and check the questions you hear . Check the answer after listening.
2. Work on 1c. The teacher plays the recording again and check the answers with the class.
Step 6 Post-listening
1.Talking (1d)
Take 1d as the example, and let Ss say what places they have been to.
For example: I have been to the Bird's Nest, I went there last year by plane....
Let Ss show their practice to the class.
2.Group work
Divide Ss into several groups.Let Ss choose one students to be surveyor from their groups.The surveyor needs to make a survey about what places they have been to .Choose several surveyors to show their survey results to the class.(The teacher pays more attention to the grammar mistakes.)
Step 7 Summary
1.Ask Ss to give a brief summary about what we have learned this lesson.
