1. a lot of 的用法:
a lot of 表示许多,和 many,much 有什么联系和区别?a lot of 和 lots of 以及 a lot 的辨析。
【探究总结】a lot of 意思是“许多,大量”,相当于lots of ,可以修饰可数名词复数,也可以修饰不可数名词 ,后跟名词复数时,相当于many,后跟不可数名词时,相当于much.

2. how many 的用法:
【问题探究】结合学习资料或网络,思考讨论交流怎样询问对方物体的数量?how many 提问时,是紧跟名词复数还是先跟助动词are等,再跟名词?how many能不能提问不可数名词的数量,如果不能的话,要改用什么来提问?

how many意思是“多少,几个”,常用来提问可数名词的数量多少。后跟可数名词的复数形式,提问不可数名词不能用how many ,要用how much。
【自我领悟】后跟可数名词复数时,如apples ,cats ,people ,boys , children 等,问数量多少要用how many ,后跟不可数名词时,如 bread, meat ,rice , tea 等,问数量多少要用how much.
另外how much 还可以表示询问物品东西的价格,意思是“多少钱”,这时后面既可以跟可数名词的复数,也可以跟不可数名词,请注意后跟可数名词复数时,用“How much +are +名词复数”,后跟可数名词单数时,用“How much +is +a / an +可数名词单数”,后跟不可数名词时,用“How much +is +不可数名词”。

【指点迷津】相同点:二者都有“一些”的意思,它们两个都可以修饰可数名词复数。又都可以修饰不可数名词。some 用于肯定句中,any用于否定句中和大部分疑问句中,但是在表示客气请求,希望对方作出肯定回答时的疑问句,用some不用any。

【问题探究】there be 句型表示什么含义?在什么情况下用there is ?在什么情况下用there are ?
【指点迷津】 there be 句型表示“在某地某时有某人某物”。be 后面的名词是句子的真正的主语,当be后面的主语是可数名词的单数或不可数名词时,用 is ,当be后面的主语是可数名词的复数时,be 动词的形式用are。如:
There are many apples on the tree. 树上(长着)有许多苹果。
There is a bird in the tree. 树上(站着)有一只鸟。
There is some meat in the noodles. 面条里有一些肉。
There be 句型变一般问句把 is 或 are 提前,变否定句在 is 或 are 的 后面加 not。注意在变否定句或一般问句时,如果原肯定句中有some ,要把some 改为any。
当 be 后面的主语不止一个时,be是用is 还是are,决定于它后面的离它最近的名词,这叫以近就近原则。如:

【自我领悟】there be 句型不翻译成“那里是”。There be + 人或物+表示地点或时间的介词短语。用is还是are,和后面表示人或物的名词一致。当表示人或物的名词主语不止一个时,用is还是are不是看两个名词主语,也不是看后面的,而是决定于离be最近的前面的主语,是可数名词的单数或不可数名词时,用 is;是可数名词的复数时,用are。have 和has 表示某个人或物有,主语是人,there be 的主语在后面。
