Language points 1：名词所有格
1.“名词+’s”所有格
多用于表示无生命事物的名词的所有关系。
eg.a map of China 一幅中国地图

也可用于表示人和其他有生命的名词的所有关系。
eg.the name of her cat 她的猫的名字

’s所有格和of 所有格有时可以互相转换。
eg.the girl’s new dress = the new dress of the girl 这个女孩的新连衣裙

表示人或事物先后顺序的数词叫序数词。
序数词大多数是由基数词变化而来的，序数词往往与定冠词the连用。

2)4-19的序数词是在相应基数词后加上后缀th。

3)整十的序数词，通常是把相应的整十的基数词词尾的y变成ie，再加-th。
eg.twenty--twentieth

5) 序数词的缩写形式是在阿拉伯数字后直接加上序数词的最后两个字母。
eg.third--3rd
4) 表示“第几十几”，只需把个位数的基数词变为序数词，十位数不变。

2.序数词的构成
1) 序数词前一般要加定冠词the。
eg.I live on the second floor. 我住在二楼。
3.序数词的用法
2) 序数词常用来修饰名词，但当名词前有形容词性物主代词等限定词时，序数词前不用定冠词。
eg.Today is my ninth birthday. 今天是我的九岁生日。
3) 表示分数时，分子用基数词，写在前面；分母用序数词，写在后面。当分子大于1的时候，表示分母的序数词要+s。
eg.one fifth 五分之一
序数词前有时也可加不定冠词a / an，这时表示的不再是具体范围内的“第几”，而是表示在原有基础上的“又一个，另一个”。
eg.I think you must do it a second time.
我觉得你必须再做一次。
用句型 When is/are sb.’s birthday(s) 来询问他人的生日。
When作为特殊疑问词，问时间。
回答时用sb.’s birthday(s) is/are (on/in) …或用句型：It’s (on/in) …
例如：
— When is your birthday
— My birthday /It’s is on August 10th.
Language points 3: when
(1)at 常用于时刻前或一些固定的习惯用语中。如：at 9:00 在9点钟
(2) in 用在月份、季节、年份等前面，也可以表示“在早上、在下午、在晚上”。如：in May 在五月月
(3) on 用在日期、星期几、节日前，也可用来表示具体某一天的上午、下午或晚上。
如：on November 1st 在11月1日
