教材分析 本节课为读写结合课。1a的短文是关于良好的饮食习惯，呈现了四个小主人公在妈妈的引导下养成健康的饮食习惯。
教学目标或内容要求（知识、技能、文化、情感、策略、评价等） 知识与技能：能正确拼读本课词汇。能找出文章的主旨及结构，完成相应的阅读任务。能口头复述文章内容。过程与方法：能通过预测、寻读、猜测词义等阅读策略提高阅读效率。情感态度与价值观：了解健康的生活方式的内容并在日常生活中注重健康问题。
学情分析 大部分学生对英语课比较感兴趣,课堂上能完成各项学习任务,但积极举手发言的学生较少。部分学生阅读能力较差，阅读策略有待加强，词汇的积累不够。写作上容易受中文思维影响，不能灵活将所学短语句型运用到表达中。
教学重难点: 情态动词should, had better(表提议)； must(表必要性)

教学流程及说明Step 1 Warming upTalk about the food accroding to the pictures.The purpose of this step: To lead in the topic and review the words about food.Step2 Task. Discuss Danny’s meals and give some advice using should/shouldn’t, had better , must. Step3 Pre-readingGo through the words about food quickly and teach the new ones by pictures at the same time. Get the students to look at the pictures in 1a and predict what Jane’s mother said to her.The purpose of this step: To brainstorm the vocabulary and develop the Ss’ predicting skills.Step4 While-reading1. Get the Ss to fulfill two reading tasks: Skim to match the sentences with the pictures (1b) and read carefully and circle T or F (1c).The purpose of this step: To develop the Ss’ reading skills: skimming and careful reading.2. Explain some important phrases and sentences and get the students to learn them by heart. Then ask the students to complete the sentences using the phrases they learn in the passage.The purpose of this step: To solve difficulties in the passage and help Ss to consolidate the important phrases.Step5 Post-readingGet the students to complete the rewriting of 1a on the ppt. and then retell 1a according to it.The purpose of this step: To check the Ss’ understanding of reading and develop the Ss’ ability of language output.Step6 Assigning homeworkGet the students to finish the writing after class (if there isn’t enough time for the students to finish it in class) and do the exercises in the workbook.
