Ⅰ. Material analysis
本节课主要通过Jane和Li Ming之间的对话配合相应的图片,引出跟音乐有关的单词和表达喜好及自己观点的句子。Section B的内容是对Section A的延伸,谈论的内容也是从SectionA谈论歌手Celine Dion的演唱会,扩展到本部分介绍不同类别的音乐及各种音乐类型的特点。音乐、明星的话题是学生们最感兴趣的话题之一。但是要学会用不同的方式表达喜欢不喜欢的话题也是有困难的,所以在设计这堂课的时候,我围绕尽可能地紧抓学生们的兴趣点,激发他们的学习兴趣这个目标,来展开我的教学活动。分别采用了有采访、问答、编对话、视频、声音等不同形式的教学手段,来达到让同学们练习表达情感和喜好的各个句型。
Ⅱ. Teaching aims
Knowledge aims:
1. 能根据音标,正确朗读出单词表中的单词:folk, rock, classical, jazz等。
2. 能在老师的引导下,学会表达自己的喜好及自己观点和情绪的句子。
3. 能正确拼读并运用单词表中的单词, 如:folk, rock, classical, jazz, type, quickly等。
4. 能进一步掌握what, how引导的感叹句。
5. 能谈论就某个观点表示同意或者不同意的话题。
Skill aims:
1. 能听懂有关表达喜好和谈论音乐的简单对话和陈述。
2. 能用感叹句正确地口头表达自己的情感。
3. 能用感叹句正确地运用书面表达写出自己和他人的情感。
Emotional aims:
通过对Section B的学习,学生能感受到音乐带给大家的乐趣,生活应该是充满阳光和欢乐的,用积极的态度对待每一件事。
Ⅲ. The key points and difficult points
Key points:
1. 学习本课生词、了解不同的音乐类型。
2. 通过本课学习能够用感叹句表达自己的情感。
3. 复习表示过去喜好的短语used to do sth.,和表示现在喜欢的单词及短语。

1. 能够正确使用感叹句表达自己的情感。
2. 表示喜欢和不喜欢的功能句的表达。
Ⅳ. Learning strategies
1. 通过对各种音乐的了解与欣赏,激发学习表达自己的情感和喜好,鼓励课后多了解并且学唱英文歌,可以有助于说一口地道的英语。
2. 课前收集不同类型的音乐不但可以助于更快、更好地掌握课文大意,还能使人了解不同的国家文化。

Stage2. Getting students ready for learning.
Step1. Teacher and students greet each other. And teacher says hello to some students who doesn’t focus on the class.
Step2. Show students the learning object of this class.

At the end of the class,you should learn:
1、能正确使用本课的单词及短语;
2、表示喜欢和不喜欢的相关功能句的表达;
3、了解音乐的分类,感受不同种类的音乐给我们带来不同的美感。

Stage3.Revision.
Teacher asks a question:“Do you know the singer of singing the song My Heart Will Go On ” Through this question , have students recall the learning contents of last class to prepare for this new lessen.
Stage4. pre-listening
Step1. Some pictures of famous stars draw forth the sentence pattern: “What sweet music!” And then learn about the exclamatory sentences guided with what and how.
Step2. Learn words with the help of some pictures and songs.

1. Step3. After learning new words, students know about the different types of music, learn to describe their feelings for music. And have them think about the following questions:

Stage5. While-listening.
Step1. Get students watch the flash of 1a to find out the answers of following questions, they can talk about with partners. After that, teacher asks someone to answer the questions.

He usually listen to music in his free time.(in one’s free time)
2. What kind of music does Jane like And what about Li Ming
She used to enjoy country music, but now she likes Jazz music. And Li Ming used to enjoy pop music, but now he likes folk music.(Used to do sth.)
Step2. Listen to 1a, fill in the table in 1b. Get students underline sentence patterns of “...used to..., but now... ” before listening, and pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.
Step3. Listen to 1a again, students check answers. And then tell whole class their perfect answers.
Step4. Explain the key points:

Stage6. Post-listening.
Step1. Have students read 1a and make conversations with partner and write down to describe the feelings about different kinds of music. Students have to use the expressions in 1c. Then take a report at the beginning of next English class.
Step2. Get students know more about types of music. And learn about new phrases.
