Unit 7 Singapore—A Place You will never Forget
教学设计
1.教材分析
“阅读课”在英语教学过程中既是教学重点,也是教学难点。阅读一篇文章不是单纯为解决某个语言或是回答几个问题而进行的,最终目的是为利用所获取的信息知识进行交流,这种交流不是被动地掌握语言形式或语言结构,而是有交际愿望和交际目的的。本课时选择的是山东教育出版社八年级上册 Unit 7 Have you ever been to a museum ( Section B 2a-2e), 主要围绕本单元中心话题“Fun Places”而展开的。因此,为了训练学生能够在语篇中准确获取信息知识,并用所获取的信息实现语言的交流和交际,本节课的设计思路为:在多媒体手段的辅助下,采用情景教学和小组合作学习方式,让学生在近乎真实的语言环境中“走进”新加坡,从中获取有用信息和知识,并引导学生关注语言形式。同时,培养学生的阅读能力,拓宽他们的知识面,并帮助他们进一步了解世界。
教学背景分析教学内容分析:本节课教学内容为山东教育出版社八年级上册 unit 7Section B 2a-2e,主要为阅读教学。阅读语篇从语言、食物、动物园、天气四个方面介绍新加坡;同时从文化和地域分布的角度来看,新加坡也是东南亚国家文化的一个重要代表。 2a是阅读前活动,让学生谈论自己对新加坡的了解,为阅读做一些铺垫。 2b要求学生从文中找出去新加坡旅行的八个理由。2c是句子纠错,考查学生对阅读内容的理解。2b要求学生根据对文章信息的理解完成对话,这既是对阅读理解的考查,也是通过引导学生关注语言形式在语境中的运用。2e训练学生读后笔记,这与本部分重点突出的学习策略是相联系的,该策略有助于学生更好地记忆阅读的内容。
二.学情分析
本节课主要语法是现在完成时,经过Section A部分学习,学生已经掌握了现在完成时,谈论的内容是“Singapore”,这是学生很感兴趣的话题,故而只要用恰当的“导入”稍作引导,学生就会兴趣盎然,例如:播放新加坡有关内容的视频,学生就会很快进入学习状态。
学生情况分析: 初中生的学习心理特点: (1)兴趣:对英语普遍感兴趣,但有很大的不稳定性,好奇心强,求知欲旺盛,已不满足教师对课文的简单重复。 (2)记忆:对刺激记忆手段多的知识记忆深刻,遵从记忆规律。 (3 ) 思维:偏重于形象思维,对片面,零碎的材料尚缺乏一定的概括分析能力。 (4)评价:主要通过他人评价初步形成对自己的评价,所以很在乎他人的评价;自我认识较模糊、片面,但自我意识却不断增强。因此,在本节课的教学过程中,在注重启发引导,培养学生分析、概括能力的同时,更要注重教学方法的灵活性,通过任务型教学法,情景交际法,小组合作学习等,激发学生学习的兴趣,让学生乐于接受,易于接受。
三.教学目标
知识目标:
1.能够在对整篇文章理解的基础上,运用语境,猜测以下较难或陌生词含义: Thousand, safe, simply, fear, whether, Indian, Japanese ,fox, whenever, spring, thousands of, on the one hand, on the other hand, all year round.
2. 从文章中获取信息,完成课堂上布置的各项任务。
3.能用现在完成时和一般过去式进行相关内容的写作,比如写一篇关于“hometown”或者曾经去过的某个地方的文章。
能力目标:
1.能够分别找出四个段落关键词来,能够对文章细节的理解找出去新加坡旅游的几个理由, 并且完成课堂任务。
2.能根据对文章信息的理解完成对话,完成语言形式在语境中的运用。
3.能掌握记读后笔记来巩固所学的学习策略。
4.培养学生用英语思维的能力和初步运用英语交际的能力,使学生能够在相似生活情景中运用所学语言知识(如现在完成时和本节课学到的新词汇),达到“学以致用”的目的。
情感态度目标:
1. 能在小组活动中积极与他人合作,互相帮助,共同完成学习任务。 2. 以新加坡为典型了解东南亚国家的文化。
3.通过Night Safari和相关视频,让学生知道要爱护、保护野生动物。
学习策略目标: 通过记读后笔记,让学生更好地记忆阅读的内容。
四.教学重点:
1.掌握本单元的生词、短语和现在完成时。
2.掌握有关于“某人曾经去过某地”的交际用语:Have you visited … Have you been to … Have you seen … Have you ever tried …
五.教学难点:
1.熟练掌握和运用相关生词和短语,比如:Whether…or…,fear, have some problem doing…,whenever等的用法。
2.熟练掌握和灵活运用现在完成时来描述某人曾经去过某地,能区别现在完成时和一般过去时在表达过去经历的不同。
六.活动设计

七.教学过程
Step 1 warming-up
A video and some pictures about Singapore and lead in to the topic.
Step 2 Fast reading
Read the passage quickly and find out the how many sides the passage describe
Fast reading and match the paragraphs with the main ideas.
Step 3 Intensive reading
Task1 According to the pictures , video and the knowledge you know, read the passage and find the basic information of Singapore.
Location: Southeast Asia
Population: More than three quarters of the population are Chinese.
Language: Chinese and English.
Task2 Watch a video and know about the food
Food: whether…or… Indian food, western food and Japanese food.
Task 3 Let’s go an interesting place
Zoo: Night Safari
We’ll have two questions:
1. Do we go to Night Safari during the daytime or at night Why
2. Why is Night Safari better than a normal zoo
At the Night Safari, you can watch these animals in a more natural environment than in a normal zoo.
