2017年全国II卷听力主播是Kris & Tushka，平均语速为190 wpm，比往年略快；整套材料约有982个单词，与往年相比，有所增加；考点依然以事实细节题和推理判断题为主；难度略大，基本上都是灵活题，没有理解对话或独白，听到什么就选什么的策略是不可取的。
材料大多是考生熟悉的话题，中规中矩，不生僻，也无热点话题。最后一段独白讲述实验室的安全，类似话题在之前的高考题中出现过。
具有以下明显特点：
1. 语言组织灵活，情景化，口语化，语境更加真实。
