本课是仁爱英语九年级上Unit3 English around the world Topic2 Some things usually have different meanings in different countries Section C .每个单元的Section C 以阅读为主，强化学生的阅读能力，通过阅读短文，完成一些练习，达到培养学生阅读与表达的能力。本课的主要活动是1a部分，通过这一部分的学习，了解中西方文化中“dog, dragon and rose” 的不同含义。通过对1a部分的学习，完成1b和1c的练习，在第二部分中巩固所学语言知识。第三部分要求同学们写一篇关于“Different Cultures, Different Meanings”的文章，从而进一步讨论文化差异。

四、教学过程（
Step 1 Review
通过对教室里所有老师打招呼引出不同国家的不同说法，的图片，然后引出三张关于狗，龙和玫瑰花导入新课。

Learn some new words。
Step 3 While-reading
1. Fast reading , Finish 1b.
1. Careful reading
Read paragraph 2, 3 and 4 ,完成相应的任务，小组成员之间相互交流，找出相关答案。
3. Listen to the tape, finish 1c.
4. Read the passage loudly and try to retell the passage.
5. 小组之间相互探讨，找出文章的key points 并通过投影仪展示。
