一、教学目标

3. 掌握大数字的表达方法和冠词的用法。
4. 了解当今世界的人口问题以及水资源的匮乏问题。
5. 本模块描述了世界上很多国家面临的两大问题，唤起学生的忧患意识。

四、教学过程

Work in pairs and talk about the problems in your home town.

Step 3 Practice
1. Ask Ss to finish the grammar exercises.

2. Work on Activity 7.
(1) Ask Ss to read the words in the box firstly.
(2) Ask Ss to complete the passage with the words in the box.
(3) Check the answers as a class, and then ask Ss to read the passage again.
