宾语补足语:是用来补充说明宾语的,表示宾语的状态、特征、身份等。构成“动词 + sb. + to do”结构。
常见的可以接不定式作宾语补足语的动词(词组)有:want, ask, teach, expect, tell, allow, advise, invite, order, would like 等。
Example:
The teacher wants us to become excellent students.
I didn’t expect you to arrive here so soon.

感官动词(词组)see, hear, notice, watch, feel, listen to, look at 及使役动词 make, have, let 等后面常接不带 to 的动词不定式作宾语补足语。

目的状语:在英语中,常用动词不定式来说明做某事的目的。
不定式可以放在句首,也可以放在句末。

不定式前面加in order构成in order to do…可加强语气或使目的意义更加清楚。
