【教材分析】
本课是在第一单元讲述体育运动的基础上，马上引出健康问题。运动是为了健康，但是一旦出现了疾病，我们应该怎样对待？同时通过这个单元的学习，教育学生要学会照顾好自己，学会关爱他人。本课主要是学习一些疾病的名称，并依据生活经验针对不同的疾病提出一些建议。
【学情分析】
本节课是有关疾病的，八年级学生对于这部分知识较感兴趣，而且接近生活，学生会有很多要说话，会积极参与。但是他们词汇量掌握不多，应尽量教会学生表达自己的意思。利用他们对知识的兴趣，在课堂上加入一些生动的图片并且以表演的形式再现与生活相近的患者和医生的对话，就会让学生迅速地兴奋起来。调动他们的学习热情，从而学到知识。
【学习目标】
1. 能正确运用以下短语进行书面表达：
have a cold, have a fever, have a cough, have a headache, have a toothache,
have a backache, have a stomachache等。
2. 能正确地运用should, shouldn’t 提建议：
You should drink enough boiled water.
You shouldn’t drink coffee or tea in the evening.

【教学重难点】
1. 教学重点: 掌握本课新单词和句型并熟练如何给他人提建议。
2. 教学难点： 熟练用英语给他人提出建议并综合所学语言知识用于语言交际中。

Teaching procedure
Step 1 Lead-in
The teacher says : “ we know we exercise every day, we will be healthier and stronger. If you don’t take part in any sports activities, you will get ill.if we exercise every day, we will be healthier and stronger. If you don’t take part in any sports activities, you will get ill more easily like the children
here.”Present some pictures about the new words: fever, cough, headache and stomachache … Guide students to learn the words with the phonetic symbols
Step 2 Pre-listening
Listen and number the pictures. Show the verb phrases .
Then and answer the questions:
A: What’s wrong with you/him/her
B:I/ He/she /have/has a...
A: What’s the matter with you/him/her
B: I/He/she has a...
Then let students practice the dialog like above in pairs.
Step 3 While-listening
1. Listen to 1a and choose the correct answers.
1. Watch the flash and read 1a.

Step 4 Post-listening

本课以课改为目的，结合教材重点.难点及英语学科的特点，利用多媒体辅助教学，体现“自主，合作，探究”的学习方式，它较之传统教学更能使每位学生都能积极参与到课堂学习及课外活动中去。使学生的听.说 .读.写能力得到全面提高，在愉快轻松的氛围中掌握知识。与此同时，带来的问题是：每个学生接受知识，获取知识的方式与快慢存在着差异，这就决定了在学习成效上的差别。为此，我要对每个学生作深入了解，并制定相应“水平线”以鼓励学生超越。
