一、教学目标
1. 学习了解残奥会的起源和发展。
2. 总结和使用一般过去时态的被动语态。
3. 用英语就同学喜欢的运动做调查并写出调查报告。
4. 通过学习,使学生更深入地了解各国体育运动,了解残奥会,并学习运动员不畏艰难、顽强拼搏的精神。

四、教学过程
Step 1 Warming-up
1. T shows some pictures about Sun Yingsha and talk about her with Ss.
2. T shows some clues for her reference and asks Ss to try to introduce Sun’s basic information
and sports life.
3. T shows some sentences with key words missing and asks Ss to fill in the blanks.
设计意图:看图讨论孙颖莎的体育经历,复习运用所学知识,同时调动起学生的学习兴趣。
Step 2 Practice
1. Do some exercises.
2. Listen and check the true sentences.
3. Listen again and choose the correct answer.
设计意图:本听力材料讲的是跆拳道运动员陈中的故事。这两项活动旨在训练学生听并获取信息的能力。
4. Put the sentences in the correct order to make a conversation.
设计意图:本活动旨在培养学生的逻辑思维能力。引导学生理解句子间的内在联系或逻辑关系,并找出相关信息词。
5. T shows the picture and the passage in Around the world about the Paralympic Games and asks Ss to read it.
6. T shows some sentences and asks Ss to decide whether they are true or false.
7. Ss read and talk about the passage.
设计意图:本栏目旨在让学生增加对残奥会的了解。
Step 3 Production
1. Ask Ss to work in groups and write questions in the table to find out about the sports that their classmates like to watch and do.
e.g. What sports do you like to do / watch
How often do you …
(T helps Ss to think about more questions and write them down.)
2. Ask Ss to go around the class and ask as many students as they can, then write their answers in the table.
3. Ss are required to write a passage using words like and, although, but, etc. according to the results of their survey.
4. Ask some Ss to stand up and read their passages before the class.
设计意图:本活动围绕“运动”这个话题,要求学生开展班级调查。这个真实的交际活动使学生能在课堂上自由走动并开展学习活动,容易调动学生的气氛。
Step 4 Summary
The modern Paralympic Games was born in 1960.
The 2008 Paralympics was held in China.
设计意图:带领学生梳理所学知识,方便学生课后巩固复习。
