2. 巩固构词法(复合词、派生词和词性转换)、扩大词汇量。
3. 通过阅读文章,理解环保倡议活动,并能提出自己的环保倡议并积极付出实际行动。
4. 通过小组环保话题的讨论,能够提出观点,增强环保意识,和同学一起加入环保行列。

Step I Warm-up
1. Brainstorming
T shows some words and ask Ss in groups to make more new words.
Then check the answers as a class.
2. Grammar
T shows more examples of prefix and suffix.

Step II Production
Activity 6
1. Look and say.
T shows the pictures of dustbins for recycling and talk about them with Ss.
2. Ask Ss to discuss the answers to the questions with a partner.
3. When pairs have discussed all the four questions, discuss and compare ideas as a class.
设计意图:围绕环境保护主题,用问答或讨论形式达到语言从输入到输出的转变。
Step III Practice
Activity 7
1. Ask Ss to read the expressions in the box and elicit gestures to indicate the meaning of each expression.
2. Tell Ss to complete the conversation with the correct form of the expressions.
3. Check answers as a class.

1. Ask Ss to listen to a passage about how to reduce, reuse and recycle.
2. Let Ss read through the sentences first. Ask them to predict which sentences are likely to be true in the listening passage.

Activity 10
1. Put Ss in small groups and ask them to list different kinds of pollution.
2. Ask Ss to decide upon the kind of pollution their group would like to talk about.

1. Tell Ss to follow the instructions and discuss their topic and one of them need to take notes.
2. The group prepare a short presentation on the type of pollution they have chosen.
Activity 12
Ask Ss to give their presentations to the whole class.
