B. it用作形式主语 当从句、动词不定式短语或v-ing短语作 主语时,为了避免头重脚轻,往往把主语后置, 而以t作形式主语。常用it作形式主语的句 型有:
1.It+be+形容词+主语从句。该句型中常用 的形容词有necessary,strange,likely,uncertain, natural,clear等。
eg. It is uncertain whether he can come to Mary's birthday party or not.他能否参加玛丽的生日聚 会还不确定。
eg. At this point,it is not clear why dogs seem to be equipped with the ability to recognize different facial expressions in humans.
现在还不清楚为 什么狗似乎具备了识别人类不同面部表情的 能力。(浙江高考)
2.It+be+名词(词组)+主语从句。该句型中常用的名词(词组)有a fact,a pity,a shame,an honour,no wonder等。
eg. It's a pity that you missed the exciting football match!
你错过了那场令人兴奋的足球比赛,真 遗憾!
eg. It is our hope that in coming decades, advances in science will offer new perspectives from which to study how people manage their lives.我们希望, 在未来几十年里,科学的进步将为研究人们如 何经营自己的生活提供新的视角。(新高考 I卷)
3.It+be+过去分词+主语从句。该句型中常 用的过去分词有announced,thought,hoped, decided,reported,said,known等。
eg. It is reported that16 people were killed in the accident.
据报道,在这起事故中有16人丧生。
eg. It is not yet decided who will perform the operation on the patient.
谁给病人做手术还没有 决定下来。
4.It+be+形容词(+for/ofsb.)+动词不定式(短语)。该句型中介词for和of的选用规 则:如果形容词描述的是不定式所表示的动作 的特征的,如difficult, easy,hard,important, dangerous等,用for;如果形容词是描述人的性 格、品质,如kind, good,nice,clever等,则 用of
特别提醒
(1)该句型中连系动词be也可换用其他连系动 词,如feel,seem等。
eg. It feels good to be home!回家的感觉真好!
eg. It seems reasonable to ask students to buy a dictionary.让学生买一本字典似乎是合理的。
eg. It is interesting to play with snow in winter.冬 季里玩雪是很有趣的。
eg. It’s important for us to keep the water clean.保 持水的清洁对我们来说是很重要的。
eg. It's really kind of them to let us use their pool. 他们让我们使用他们的游泳池,真是太好了。
(2)该句型中形容词也可换用名词(短语),如 one's turn/duty,a pleasure,an honour等。
eg. It's a good habit to go to bed early and get up early.
早睡早起是好习惯。
eg. It's a pleasure to walk around a strange city.在一 个陌生的城市里散步是一种乐趣。
5.It+be+名词(词组)+v-ing。该句型中常用的名词(词组)有no good,no use等。 eg. It is no use arguing about the matter with him. 跟他争论这件事是没有用的。
6. It+动词+宾语+that从句
eg. It worried me that my mother's eyesight was declining.
母亲的视力在下降,这让我很担心。
7.某些固定句型中t作形式主语。
It takes(sb.)some time to do sth.(某人) 花……时间做某事。
It costs (sb.) some money to do sth.(某人) 花……钱做某事。
It doesn't matter (to sb.)..…(对某人) 不重要。
It makes no difference (to sb.)..……(对 某人)没有影响。
It remains to be seen whether.……还有 待证实/观察。
It occurs to sb.that..某人突然想到……
eg. It took me a week to finish reading the book.我 花了一周时间读完这本书。
eg. It cost me260 yuan to buy the new watch.我买 这块新手表花了260元。
eg. It doesn't matter whether we go together or separately.我们一起去或是分开去都可以。
eg. It never occurred to me that he might be in trouble.我怎么也没想到他会遇上麻烦。
C. it用作形式宾语 it作形式宾语时,常代替后面的动词不定 式(短语)、v-ing(短语)或名词性从句。it作形 式宾语时常用于以下情况:
l.动词不定式(短语)、v-ing(短语)或名词性 从句作宾语时,如果后面带有宾语补足语,常 用it作形式宾语,而把真正的宾语(动词不定 式/动词不定式短语、v-ing/v-ing短语或名词性 从句)放在宾语补足语的后面。常见的动词有 make,think,find,consider,feel等。
eg. To make it easier to get in touch with us,you'd better keep this card at hand.为了更容易与我们 取得联系,你最好把这张卡片放在手边。(北京 高考)
eg. I think it no use buying books without reading them.我认为买书却不读是没有用的。 I find it important that people learn a foreign language.我发现人们学习一门外语是很重 要的。
2.it位于某些表示喜怒哀乐的动词(如like, enjoy, love, prefer, hate等)后作形式宾语。真 正的宾语常为when,whether/if等引导的 从句。
eg. I don't love it when my mum asks me to play the piano.我不喜欢妈妈让我弹钢琴。
D it用于强调句 强调句的基本句型结构是:It+is/was+被 强调部分+that/who+其他部分。
eg. It is my mother who/that reminds me to get up on time every day.
每天都是我妈妈提醒我按时 起床。
eg. It was Hemingway's novel The Old Man and the Sea that the boy wanted to read.这个男孩想看的 是海明威的小说《老人与海》。
a a third-person singular pronoun that refers to an object or an idea第三人称单数代词,指物体或观点
b a pronoun that works as a formal subject / object

The Road to Heaven is a new film by the famous and well-iked writer and director,Dee 'Connor. The story is about a group of friends who decide to travel around the world together.
They expect things will go smoothly but thanks to an unexpected guest, it most certainly doesn't Comedy is not my preferred genre so i wasn't excited about watching this; however,i must say i loved it!
