教材分析:本节课通过文章的形式具体介绍有关地震的知识以及在地震中如何保护自己。本篇文章以How to Protect Yourself in the Earthquake为题,分别对地震知识进行介绍,在室内外对付地震的方法及余震的介绍,最后紧扣主题加入情感教育。要求学生通过本篇文章,了解地震知识,能够正确应对自然灾害,在思维导图的帮助下能够模仿作者的写作方式,根据已有经验,结合本课知识,写出有关在其它自然灾害面前如何保护自己的文章。这篇阅读文章较长,在阅读练习的时候,建议教师先以讨论、游戏等方式,解决部分生词,扫清单词障碍。学生在理解文章大意的前提下进行拓展,写出在其它自然灾害面前如何保护自己的文章。
设计思路: 本节课是阅读课,读前通过情境教学扫清单词障碍,读中环节注重思维导图的运用,借助图片、关键词和思维导图帮助学生更好地理解文章,读后通过复述、写作等方式巩固,同时注重对学生的情感教育,教育学生在灾难面前保持镇定并尽力帮助他人。
学情分析:初中二年级学生已经掌握了一定的英语基础知识和听说能力,正逐渐向读、写过渡,同时,学生们对英语学习还保持着较浓厚的兴趣。在新课程理念的熏陶实实践下有了初步的自主、合作、探究、实验的能力。本课课型为阅读课,主要学习在地震中、地震后如何保护自己。因此我主要采取任务型教学法、情景教学法,帮助学生学习新词汇,掌握重点句型,以便学生能比较好地运用到写作中。
