一、教学目标
1. 了解五个元音字母在重读闭音节中的发音。
2. 准确朗读单词中含有五个元音字母的重读闭音节。
3. 运用本课所学读音规律，准确朗读新单词。
二、教学重点及难点
重点：指导学生掌握五个元音字母在重读闭音节中的发音/ /, /e/, / /, / /, / /。
难点：区分五个元音字母在重读开闭音节中的不同发音，并能根据语音知识正确读出单词。
三、教学过程
Step 1 Warming-up
1. Ask Ss to read the vowel letters.
2. Ask Ss to look at the pictures and fill in the blanks.
【设计意图】通过读元音字母，带领学生复习上节课所学的语音知识。通过看图填词，激活课堂气氛，引出目标单词。
Step 2 Presentation
1. Ask Ss to pay attention to the vowel letters in these words and their sounds.
【设计意图】通过关注目标单词中元音字母的发音，引出本节课所要学习的五个元音字母在重读闭音节中的发音。
2. Ask Ss to listen and read the following words and pay attention to the sounds of the letters a, e, i, o and u.
3. T teaches Ss the pronunciation of vowel letters in closed syllables.
【设计意图】通过听读词汇，总结元音字母在重读闭音节中的发音规律。
4. Ask Ss to read more words and say the vowels in the group of words.
【设计意图】在一组词中再次呈现元音字母在重读闭音节中的发音，帮助学生形成语音系统。
Step 3 Practice
1. Ask Ss to read the words. Then put them under the correct sound groups.
【设计意图】在教授完五个音标的发音以及书写之后，首先完成书上的Part A练习，把单词按照音标分类，巩固了五个音标的发音，为下面的环节做好铺垫。
2. Ask Ss to read the new words according to the sound of the first word in each group.
3. Ask Ss to listen to the recording and check their pronunciation.
【设计意图】通过读新单词，进一步练习发音知识。教师可以适当解释单词的意思，但不要求学生掌握。再通过听录音，检查自己的发音。
4. Ask Ss to look at the pictures and read the phrases.

6. Ask Ss to work in pairs and act out the dialogues and pay attention to the different sounds of the letters in bold.

Step 4 Production
1. Ask Ss to put the words aside the right vowels in the tree.
2. Ask Ss to chant like this:
Sandy has a pet.
That is a cat.
He is fat.
And he likes apples best.
Oscar, don’t go.
Tell me the use of letter O.
Put it in a cat, and you can get a coat.”

Summarize what they’ve learnt today.
