一、教学目标
1. 重点词汇:so, show, around, front, building, ground, ground floor, bright, modern, hall, diary
2. 重点句型:The playground is so big.

3. 能够用英语介绍学校的设施名称、地点、状况和功能。
4. 能够使用目标语完成Millie的日记。

重点:
1. 通过图片和问题引导,帮助学生用英语介绍学校的设施名称、地点、状况和功能。
2. 在聚焦内容和语言的基础上,引导学生能够使用目标语完成Millie的日记。
难点:学生依托示例能够用英语为参观学校的嘉宾介绍自己的学校。

四、教学过程
Step 1 Lead-in
Tell something about Millie and give some key information to guide Ss to learn about the information of Millie’s school. Then ask them to talk about their school.
【设计意图】通过复习上一节课的内容帮助学生复习旧知,聚集语言和信息,导入新课,又为接下来的教学做好铺垫。
Step 2 Pre-writing
Content focus
Show pictures to help Ss get the content to introduce the school by giving the following questions.
What is it Where is it How does it look What can we use it for And then show the picture of playground and ask them to ask and answer using the four questions above.
【设计意图】通过展示图片和设计问题,帮助学生梳理在介绍学校时我们要考虑学校的设施的名称、地点、状况及功能, 为学生的写作做内容上的准备。
Language focus
(1) look beautiful / modern / young / …
look“看起来”为系动词 ,后面要加形容词。
e.g. Our school looks beautiful .
The library looks modern.
(2) so + adj. (形容词) so “如此,这么”
e.g. The playground is so big .
Our hall is so bright.
(3) show sb. around sp. 带某人参观某地
e.g. Let me show you around my school .
(4) in front of 在…前面(外部的)
in the front of 在…的前面(内部的)
e.g. We’re in front of the classroom building.
There is a blackboard in the front of the classroom.
(5) on the ground floor 在底层,在一楼
e .g. My classroom is on the ground floor.
(6) the man in the white shirt 穿白色衬衫的那个人 in“穿着,戴着”
e.g. Who’s the man in the white shirt .
【设计意图】根据通过例句展示等方式,帮助学生理解本对话中重点词组及用法归纳。并对学生不准确的发音及时进行纠正,夯实基础,为下面的学习做好语言上的准备。
Step 3 While-writing
1. Complete a diary
Tell Ss that Millie wants to write about her school and ask them to complete her diary entry with the words.

2. Write a passage
Tell Ss the context and ask them to be a guide to show the visitors around the school. Then offer a map and a sample. Next, ask them to share in group first, then in the whole class.

Step 4 Post-writing
Ask Ss to share in group and then in the whole class.
【设计意图】写后的分享和交流是学生彼此学习和改进的重要资源。
Step 5 Summary
Help Ss summarize the key vocabulary and the sentences about introducing a school.
