三、教学过程
Step 1 Warming-up
Ask Ss to look at the picture and answer the questions.

(2) Do you like watching a fashion show
(3) Do we need a host or a hostess and models at the fashion show
【设计意图】通过回答有关时装秀的问题,引起学生兴趣,使他们迅速进入本课话题,在此基础提出新的问题,为接下来的教学做好铺垫。
Step 2 Pre-reading
1. Ask Ss to talk about how to prepare for a fashion show and answer the question.
What kind of clothes will they prepare for the show
【设计意图】通过简单的流程图,让学生说出准备“时装秀”的三个步骤,引导学生轻松融入课堂,同时又为下面话题的引出,做好相关铺垫。
2. Show some pictures of clothes and learn some new words.
【设计意图】看图片学习新的词汇。
3. Look at the pictures and guess what they will wear for the fashion show.
【设计意图】通过引导学生看图片,描述图片中人物的穿着,既检测学生对已学词汇的掌握情况,又培养学生通过图片预测文章内容的意识。
Step 3 While-reading
1. Ask Ss to read and answer the questions.
【设计意图】快速阅读文章,获取时装秀的主要信息。
2. Ask Ss to read and do the True or False.
3. Ask Ss to read and answer the questions.
4. Ask Ss to read and fill in the blanks.

Step 4 Post-reading
1. Ask students to fill in the blanks and retell.

2. Ask students to design clothes for Kitty and make a report.
T: Kitty wants to go to the fashion show. Help her choose clothes.
T: Wearing different kinds of clothes can make us look different. So fashion is a way of expressing oneself. Remember fashion is a way of life! Try to be yourself!
