Lesson16 How Can We Go to Beijing
设计思路:
本单元的主题与学生的实际生活紧密联系,因此教师在课堂中应创设真实的语言情景,让学生在情景中理解语言、学习语言、以提高学生的语言运用能力。五年级学生已经掌握了一定的听、说、读、写技能,能借助图片,看懂和读懂简单的短文,并能在教师的帮助下表演课文对话内容。本节课教师采取让学生讨论选择哪种交通工具去北京的环节,鼓励学生尝试用英语表达自己的见解,从而调动学生参与的积极性。并通过小组练习创编对话,锻炼学生口语表达能力。
教学背景分析:
本单元以旅行为话题,整个单元以描述北京、邀请同伴去北京、谈论交通方式、以及制定旅行计划为主线和载体,学习和训练含有形容词great 的陈述句、情态动词may 引导的一般疑问句及其回答,how 引导的特殊疑问句的用法。 本节课围绕选择去北京的方式为话题讨论和学习How do we go to Beijing 并引出和学习交通工具train、plane以及形容词fast、slow.
教学目标:
1、认读并运用单词train, plane, fast,slow
2、理解句子“How far is it from____ to____ It’s ____ kilometers.”
“Let’s go to _____ by _____. Let’s take a _____.”,并积极运用所学句子表达和交流。
3、分角色有感情地朗读课文,积极尝试运用所学单词和句子自编对话
4、培养学生在学习中乐于参与、积极合作、主动请教的情感态度
重点、难点:
能听说认读并运用词汇train, plane, fast,slow,尝试用句子“Let’s go to _____ by _____. Let’s take a _____.”,介绍出行的交通方式。

一、Greeting(5minutes)
Hello, everybody. How are you today
-I’m fine, and you
-I’m good.
Let’s begin our class. First, Let’s enjoy a Number Song. Then tell me “What’s your lucky number ” or “What’s your favourite number ”
Lucky number:5, 8, 2,1,6,9......
[设计意图] 通过歌曲教学和说出幸运数字,调动学生学习的积极性和参与课堂的热情,为本节课的学习做好铺垫。
二、New Concepts
1、Introduce(3minutes)
教师板书数字,5 8 2 1 6 9 让学生试读这些数字。并引出数字165,学生试读。
T: It’s one hundred and sixty-five kilometres(千米) from Handan to Shijiazhuang.
Q: How far is it from Shijiazhuang to Beijing
2、Look at the pictures in Part 4(5minutes)
Q: How far is it from ___ to ____
A: It’s __ kilometers.
[设计意图]通过师生问答、生生问答练习,掌握重点句型How far is it from ___ to ____ 的意义并能正确运用。
3、discuss(5minutes)
T: introduce the famous places in the pictures in Part 4.
Q: Where do you want to go
Ss: I want to go to ______. (学生自由回答)
T:Let’s go to Beijing together. But how can we go to Beijing (板书)
T: Let’s take a bike.
Ss: No, No.
T: Why?A bike is slow. Let’s take a _____. Ok
Ss: …….
教师依次出示bike, car, taxi, bus, train, plane 的图片,让学生做出选择。并尝试表达选择乘坐或不乘坐的理由。同时教师在黑板上粘贴单词bus, train, plane 的图片,学习新词。并通过这几种交通工具的比较学习单词fast, slow.
教师教授新单词:b-u-s,t-rain,p-l-a-n-e,f-a-s-t ,s-l-ow. (单词教学中,渗透一些简单的语音知识和拼读规律,来帮助学生掌握单词的正确发音。)
[设计意图]在教学活动的过程中,师生之间,生生之间,用英语进行了简单的交际. 又通过教师的引导和提问,学生进一步练习和巩固了重点句型和单词
4、text(7minutes)
T: Do you know LiMing and his mother are going on a trip to Beijing. How do they go Let’s listen to the text.(让学生带着问题听录音)

T: That’s right. Let’s read the dialogue again by yourselves. Then judge the sentences.(学生读对话,做判断T \F)

5、role-play(10minutes)

[设计意图]通过分角色表演和自编对话的教学活动,既巩固了学生所学的语言知识,同时也调动学生的学习积极性,提升学生的语言综合运用能力。
三、Class Closing(5minutes)
T: They are going to Beijing by train, Li Ming is so happy. Now he is singing. Listen! What is he singing Listen and sing!
Ss: understand the words in the song and try to sing the song together.
