1.Introduction
(1)Greetings.
(2)Show the learning aims.
a.掌握单词:sky, river, clear, nature, horse, sheep, hen, cow, thin
b.掌握句型: -- The countryside is much quieter than the city.
-- I am the strongest on the farm.
c.能够正确使用形容词的比较级和最高级来观察生活中的事物。
(3)Use some pictures about the city and countryside to show the new words and the Comparative Degrees of Adjectives.(用农村和城市的水、天空和空气做对比,领导学生了解形容词的比较级,让学生知道要保护环境。)
(4)Use some pictures about animals to show the new words and the Comparative and Superlative Degrees of Adjectives.(用一些动物的身高、外貌对对比并导出最高级)
2. Presentation
(1)Show the pictures of 1a show guess “What are they talking about ”(看图猜对话是预听的一个重要步骤,给出选项让难度降低。)
(2)Finish 1b. Listen to 1a and check the word you hear. Then check the answers.
(3) Read 1a again and fill in the blanks. Then check the answers.
3. Consolidation
(1)Read 1a .(视课堂时间而定,以各种形式朗读课文1a,可以组内朗读,组间朗读,最后再齐读课文。)
(2)Study the rules carefully and complete the table in 2b.
(3)总结单音节词和部分双音节词的形容词的比较级和最高级的变化规律(先叫学生在组内讨论,在叫学生回答,老师再完善。)
4.Practice
(1)Listen to 2a and fill in the banks.(该步骤的目的在于让学生巩固比较级和最高级的用法和读音)
(2)Check the answers together.

(1)Watch a video-- Old McDonald had a farm . and guess: “What are they doing ”
“They are having a big party.”
(2) McDonald在他的农场里选取“农场之星”,谁会入选了?组内一人扮演McDonald,其余的人为农场上的动物,组内的小动物要按身高站好,由矮的先发言,后面的动物依次反驳前面的动物。
提示:
McDonald:Who is the star on the farm
A: I am a dog. I think I am the star. Because I am strong
B: I don’t think so. I am stronger than you. You are lazier than me.
C: You are not right. I am the strongest on the

注意:可用到的形容词有:strong,big,clever,tall,ugly等
(通过情景创设,让学生在活动中学习英语,提高学生学习英语的兴趣。)
