Language points
Point
humorous作形容词，由“humor（n.幽默）+ -ous（形容词后缀）”构成，在句中可作表语或定语。
-ous是常见的形容词后缀，通常放在名词后，表示“有……的”。如：danger（n.危险）+ ous — dangerous （ adj. 有危险的）。

silent / sa l nt/ adj. 不说话的；沉默的
silent作形容词，在句中作表语或定语。remain/ stay/ keep silent“保持沉默”。

silence作名词，意为“沉默；寂静”，是不可数名词。in silence意为“安静地；无声地” 。

helpful /‘helpfl/ adj. 有用的；有帮助的
