【教学目标】
(1)知识与技能目标:掌握本课新词汇及短语: hobby, spare, collect, stone, ticket, trade, garden, in one’s spare/ free time, be interested in, trade…with…, trade…for…
(2)过程与方法目标:培养和提高学生的听说能力和自我表达能力,能了解如何询问对方的爱好和回答方法,让学生会用所学的词汇和句型表达个人的兴趣爱好。
(3)情感态度与价值观目标:树立学生正确的生活观念,让学生意识到兴趣的重要性,能积极发展个人的特长爱好,培养学生积极健康的生活情趣。
【教学内容】
(1)学习一些有关兴趣和爱好的新词汇及短语: hobby, spare, collect, stone, ticket, trade, garden, in one’s spare/ free time, be interested in, trade…with…, trade…for…
(2) 了解一些用于介绍兴趣和爱好的句式:
① I enjoy playing Ping-Pong.
② I am interested in collecting all kinds of concert tickets.
③ I like reading books.
【学情分析】
本课是八年级上册第七单元的第一课,本单元围绕兴趣和爱好这一话题展开教学,要求学生了解如何表达自己的爱好,内容与学生个人紧密相关,所以学生应该对本课比较感兴趣,但是由于本课要通过大量的听说方式来完成,尤其对口语交际能力要求较高,所以学生在学习的过程中可能会有困难,对于听力和口语基础较薄弱的学生来说,听说环节的训练也会有所阻碍,所以本课利用大量的动画及图片来讲解,帮助学生有效的理解和记忆。这也要求学生在掌握词汇的基础上能学以致用,加强听说的训练来提高口语表达能力。
【重点难点】
重点:掌握重要句式

难点:新词汇和短语的掌握,以及不同句型结构在口语交际中的正确理解和准确熟练的运用:

【教学理念】 本课涉及兴趣和爱好的介绍,通过展示学生熟悉的人物图片并介绍其爱好,由此询问学生自己的兴趣爱好,从而导入新课what’s your hobby 紧接着通过各种动画图片的展示进入新课,引导学生了解有关表达兴趣爱好的句型结构,在学生掌握了表达方式之后,再次通过PPT演示动画及图片,并创设情境涉及本课新词汇,短语及句型,引导学生看图说话,练习句型的表达应用,训练说英语的能力。同时也帮助学生理解并记忆新词汇及句型。此处presentation环节是本课的重点,由浅入深,循序渐进,让学生顺其自然的掌握了本课表达兴趣和爱好的句型结构并轻松地识记了新词汇,从而突破本课的重难点,以达到教学目标。在之后的reading和activity 环节,目的在于训练学生在整体阅读中提取信息的能力,也培养学生的口语交际和语言应用能力。本课从动画图片及情境中学习新知识,通过听,说,读,练的方法加强学生的语言表达能力,也鼓励学生积极发展健康且有意义的兴趣和爱好。

活动1热身运动warming up

(设计理念:此处跟随音乐集体唱一首英文歌曲而进入课堂,目的在于让学生有效地进入课堂氛围,也能够激发学生的热情,提高学生的学习兴趣。)

(设计理念: 在刚唱完歌曲进入课堂之后,对学生提问,顺其自然地引出本单元的话题:hobby.使热身运动和新课话题过渡自然。)

Joy Chou) to present their hobbies
Step3 show the teacher’s picture and then ask Ss to
guess her hobby, and then the teacher asks Ss:

(设计理念:通过大家熟悉的名人图片,谈论其职业及兴趣爱好,然后展示教师自己的图片让学生猜测其兴趣,紧接着顺势询问学生的个人爱好:what’s your hobby 由此可轻松自然地导入新课:lesson 37 what’s your hobby )
(每个人都有自己的兴趣爱好,此处通过介绍别人的兴趣爱好,再猜测老师的兴趣,然后询问学生自己的爱好:what’s your hobby 正好与题目吻合,是导入新课的思路。)
Step4 Ask Ss to show their hobbies
(设计理念:紧密衔接刚导入的新课:what’s your hobby 让学生自己说出个人的兴趣和爱好,教师可在此时引导学生说出简单的表达兴趣和爱好的句型结构,目的也在于让学生初步了解关于介绍兴趣爱好的表达方式。)
活动3讲授 presentation
Show some flash pictures about different hobbies in our daily life. Instruct students to describe the hobbies with different expressions according to the pictures. Then give students some other pictures with new words to practice the language structures. Students can learn new words and phrases in this way.
(设计理念:从以下step1-step2利用贴近生活的动画图片展示出生活中的兴趣和爱好,生动有趣,提高学生的学习兴趣。以看图说话的形式,让学生根据图片及所附句型了解介绍兴趣和爱好的表达方式,也初步加强了口语能力。)

Write a composition :“My Hobby”

(设计理念:作业是教学反馈的形式之一,也是巩固所学的重要方式,课堂上对听,说,读,进行了训练,课后这项作业补充了写作训练,通过写作能充分应用和练习本课的重点词汇,短语及句型,充分体现了语言教学中听,说,读,写的完整环节。)
【教学反思】本课what’s your hobby主要涉及兴趣和爱好的介绍,主要练习语言表达能力。
上完本课,我认为较成功之处在于:通过展示学生熟悉的人物图片并介绍其兴趣爱好,切入主题,再通过询问学生自己的爱好导入新课,此话题容易被学生接受,全体学生都能积极主动投入到课堂中,气氛活跃。在我利用动画图片创设情境进行presentation时,学生兴趣极高,能在我的引导下积极张嘴练习说英语,并且很容易掌握了本课的重点词汇及句型,此环节轻松流畅,完成的效果不错。在小组活动中,学生们也能不同程度地参与其中,突破了平时难以张嘴说英语的难关,较高效地达成了本节课的说练目标。
不足之处在于:在activity and team work 环节中,学生的小组协作体现不太好,小组之间没有竞争意识。只顾准备自己的对话和表演,在其他组进行表演时,没有认真仔细聆听,关注不够。
今后的改进措施:课堂上多组织小组合作活动,多采取奖励措施,激励学生团结合作,提高学生的参与兴趣,并在其他组展示之后设立问题,吸引注意力,以便学生能认真听取并积极回答问题。
