When people have different opinions or needs, conflicts(冲突) may happen. Naomi Drew, the writer of The Kids’ Guide to Working Out Conflicts: How to Keep Cool, Stay Safe, and Get Along, gives kids some useful advice on getting on with friends.
Q1: A friend of mine often hangs out with our friends, but he has never invited me. What should I do
A1: If a friend does something you don’t like, don’t be afraid to talk to him. Don’t be angry with him. Try to make him understand your feelings so that you can work through it together.
Q2: My friend is rude(无礼的) to other people. She said if I didn’t act like her, she would stop being my friend.
A2: Never “sell out” just to one friend. Do what you believe is right, and you can even find some new friends.
Q3: My friend and I argue a lot. Although we’ll be friends again soon, I don’t like it. What should I do
A3: “Winning an argument” isn’t always worth(值得) it. Next time you argue, let your friend “win” if the thing is not important to you. If you give in(让步) a little, so may your friend. And remember, probably your friend isn’t wrong. He or she just sees things differently.

Usually people try not to talk about mental illness(精神疾病). They only talk about it when the news about it comes out. But the talk stops as soon as another sad thing happens. Many people don’t take mental illness seriously. Some think mental illness is something that can get self-corrected, and that is a real misunderstanding.
It’s time for the talk to continue. Instead of waiting for the next sad thing, we need to be open about mental health and the difficulties that come with its treatment. We need to develop a comfortable environment, and then people will feel free to ask for help.
It takes a long time, but I’m now open about my depression(抑郁). I’m open about taking medicine to treat my mental illness. I’m open about the problem of finding useful medicine. I encourage everyone to do the same. Be open with your talks about mental health. The more comfortable people are with the talk, the easier it will be for the talk to continue. Then more ideas on its treatment may come out.
All in all, let’s keep the talk about mental health and mental illness open. If you don’t mind, share your story and it may let others know they are not alone. Just as Albus Dumbledore said, “Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” So remember to turn on the light.

A.many people care for the people with mental illness

A.it will be easy for them to keep healthy
B.fewer people will have mental illness
C.more ideas on its treatment may come out
D.more people will have mental illness
( )64.What does the writer want to show through Albus Dumbledore’s words
A.Communication may help the people with mental illness.
B.One’s happiness can be the medicine of mental illness.
C.Mental health plays an important role in our life.
D.It’s necessary to make friends with lonely people.
( )65.What’s the main idea of the passage
A.How to start a talk about depression.

D.How to stay away from mental illness.
Ⅸ.任务型阅读(共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分)
  阅读下面短文,按要求完成66~70题。
The way to lift your mood(情绪)
Everyone has periods in their lives when everything seems very hard, when there’s nobody to talk to and the mood is just getting worse and worse. Here are some things that may help you lift your mood.
The first thing you should try is socializing and thinking positively(积极地). It’s very hard, because usually when we feel sad we lock ourselves at home and try to think about all the bad things we have. But if you try to force yourself and call a friend for a cup of coffee, there are more chances for changing your mood into better. Just try to avoid bad thoughts by doing your best to find someone to talk to.
You should also try doing something only for yourself, something totally selfish(自私的). It could be something you wanted for a long time—a short trip, a coat, a ring or anything that could lift your mood. It doesn’t have to be costly, but it has to be good for yourself.
Not only giving gifts to yourself can lift your mood. Buying things for others may be a perfect way to feel happy. Think of your friends, family, relatives or even local charities(慈善机构), and choose one person and give him a gift. It doesn’t have to be something expensive or big. It may be just a little toy to your poor neighbor’s child. Making another person feel happy will also make you feel good in your heart and mind.
Making yourself feel better isn’t that hard. Just follow the advice above, and start doing something.

62.C 词义猜测题。由后面的“to do the same”可推测句意:我鼓励每个人都像我一样敞开心扉,即承认问题、积极用药。根据句意判断选C。
63.C 细节理解题。由第三段最后两句“The more comfortable people are with the talk, the easier it will be for the talk to continue. Then more ideas on its treatment may come out.”可知,如果人们经常谈一谈精神疾病,可能就会有更多的治疗方法。

Dear editor,
There are many ways for us middle school students to relax ourselves. As for me, when I feel stressed, I usually communicate with my friends, parents or teachers. Sometimes I do sports with my classmates, such as riding bikes and going swimming. I go to the movies or listen to light music in my spare time, too. What’s more, going on a trip during holidays is another way to make me relaxed. I believe if we are more relaxed, we’ll live more happily and learn better.
Yours,
Li Hua
