There are many traditional festivals in China, such as the Spring Festival,the Qingming Festival, the Dragon Boat Festival and the Mid-Autumn Festival.
I like the Spring Festival best. Because the Spring Festival is the most important festival for Chinese people. During the Spring Festival, relatives and friends get together and wish each other well. Moreover, elders will give children red envelopes.

1. 宾语从句的概念
A是一个句子,B也是一个句子,A句中的宾语不是由一个名词性或代词这样的词或词组担任,而是由B这样的完整句子充当。那么B就是宾语从句,A就是一个复合句(主句)。复合句种类很多,一般主句和从句之间要有引导词,引导词在某些情况下可以省略。
e.g. He told me that he would go to the college the next year.
整个句子是一个复合句(相当于A),he would go to the college the next year是一个从句(相当于B),that 是引导词,从句充当主句的直接宾语。
e.g. Nobody knew whether he could pass the exam.
整个句子是一个复合句(相当于A),he could pass the exam是一个从句(相当于B),whether 是引导词,从句充当主句的宾语。

2. that引导宾语从句的用法
that引导宾语从句时,本身没有任何意义,也不作任何句子成分,只起引导作用,并且大多数情况可以省略。
e.g. I think it is right for him to treat you like that.
The little boy believes he will become a rich man in the future.
当主句谓语动词是 think, believe, suppose, expect 等词,而宾语从句的意思是否定时,常把否定转移至主句表示。如上面两句,如果从句是否定的,应该表示为:
I don't think it is right for him to treat you like that.
The little boy don't believes he will become a rich man in the future.
而不是:I think it is not right for him to treat you like that.
The little boy believes he will not become a rich man in the future.

3. whether引导宾语从句的用法
whether引导宾语从句时,意思是“是否”,在语义上实际上相当于是一个一般疑问句充当了宾语。
e.g. I wonder whether they will come to our party.
We discussed whether we had a sports meeting next week.
I’m thinking of whether we should go to see the film.
4. Bill thinks that the races were not that interesting to watch.
that可用作副词,表程度修饰形容词或副词,意为“那么,那样”,比较少见,需注意。
e.g. Nobody expected the situation would become that bad.

1. throw… at 意为“向...抛/仍...”。
e.g. Don't throw stones at a moving car because it's dangerous.
He picked up a basin of water and threw at the pedestrians.
2. put on意为“增加,穿上,戴上”。
e.g. During the summer vacation, she put on ten pounds.

put相关的常见短语还有:put into 使进入;把...放进 put off 推迟 put out 扑灭 put off 脱下 put down 记下 put up 张贴put up with 忍耐Put away 放好,收好

3. wonder 基本意思是“对…感到疑惑”,常指某些新颖、奇特的事物使人惊讶、困惑。也可以表示“想知道”, 指考虑某事,带有猜想,想搞明白某事。
用作及物动词时,可接带疑问词的动词不定式以及由that/wh-/if引导的从句作宾语。
e.g. I wonder if I might have a word with Mr Abbot
I wonder if he will make a good captain.
Do you seriously wonder that she didn't help him
I wonder how to learn English well in such a short time
用作不及物动词时,常与介词about, at连用。
e.g. She wondered at her own stupidity.

4. similar 作形容词意为“类似的;相像的;相仿的”,作名词,意为“类似物;相像的人;相似物”,常用句型 be similar to 意思是“与……相似”。
e.g. Her job is broadly similar to mine.她的工作和我的大体相似。
We have very similar interests.我们兴趣相仿。
My opinions are similar to hers.我的看法跟她的相似。
