3 Moral Goals: Let students know that they should help others, and being ready for help is a traditional virtue of Chinese people.

1.Use function sentences“Would you mind(not) doing sth. ” to communicate with others.

Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Warm-up and lead-in
1.Greetings.
2. Practice function sentences: Would you mind(not) doing sth.
Step 2 Pre-listening
Talk about Picture of 1a, and lead students to learn some new phrases: do well in, fall ill
Step 3 While-listening
1Let students listen to 1a and then make them answer a question:
Which class are they going to against
2Let students listen to la again and finish 1b.
Step 4 Post-listening(Reading)
Read 1a after the video. Meanwhile, imitate the pronunciation of Kangkang and Micheal.
Step 5 Role-play &Dubbing show
Ask students to work in pairs. One acts as Kangkang, the other acts as Micheal.
Step 6 writing
Ask students to finish 1c and 1d.
Step 7 Make a similar conversation according to 1a.
Let students make conversations , and then some of them act it out to the class.
