Unit 1 Playing sports Topic 3 The school sports meet is coming Section A 教学设计
一、学情分析:
我所教的班是农村中学的八年级学生,学生间程度差异很大。经过七年级一年的学习,学生具备一定的英语听、说、读、写基础。掌握了约1500个词汇、W/H基础特殊疑问句和一般现在时、一般将来时、一般过去时、现在进行时等时态,学习了国际音标, 在同一单元的话题一中已经学习了be going to表将来的用法,这对本话题词汇学习、谈论即将到来的事情都有很大的帮助。
二、教材分析:
本单元以Playing Sports 为主题。第三话题以学校运动会及奥林匹克运动会为中心,Section A通过Yu Ting 和Li Ming关于各自在即将举办的学校运动会中参加的项目的讨论,学习will表示一般将来时的用法,学习询问和表达意愿和打算以及鼓励他人的功能用语,主要句型有:Which sport will you take part in I’ll be in the long jump and the high jump.I believe you will win等。
三、教学设计思路:
本节课主要活动为Section A 的1a和2b。整一节课以讨论校运会为线索,通过Yu Ting 和Li Ming关于各自在即将举办的学校运动会中参加的项目的讨论,了解学习校运会相关项目的表述,学习will表示一般将来时的用法。首先学生观察1a图片,预测对话内容,听1a完成1b填空并核对答案;接着通过2a的范例和2b的提示信息,运用所学词汇、语法和功能进行小组合作口语练习;然后通过学生新闻采访的方式检测学生对句型的掌握程度;最后让学生以参加校运会为主题写一篇小文章。
Ⅰ. Teaching aims
1. Knowledge aims:
(1)能正确运用以下短语进行书面表达:
the boys’ 800-meter race, be in the long jump, have lots of fun, prepare for,make many fiends, make friends with sb., it’s one’s first time to do sth等。
(2) 能正确地理解下列句子和短语:
The school sports meet is coming.
the coming school sports meet
(3)能正确理解并运用will将来时,能运用will进行造句。
2. Skill aims:
(1)能听懂有关运动会项目的名称及相关话题。
(2)能熟练地运用will引导的将来时谈论有关运动会的话题。
(3)能正确朗读介绍运动会项目的对话或文章。
(4)能用will将来时介绍自己或朋友在运动会中参加的项目。
3. Emotional aims:
通过学习Yu Ting 和Li Ming积极上进的对话内容,鼓励学生要积极参与学校集体活动,培养自己乐观、自信、乐于合作的优良品质。
4. Culture awareness:
结合即将到来的校运会,鼓励学生尽己之所能,为班集体争光。

Stage 1(6mins):Greeting and warming up

Focus their attention on the teacher.Ss: Good morning, Miss…Ss: Hooray!S1: To share her self-learning paper.… 该部分旨在帮助学生放松心情和引起学生注意,为学习新内容做好准备。
2(Class work) Let the students to read out the names of sports activities according to the pictures. Students look at the pictures, trying to say out the names of the sports.
Remark: 教师可注意平时多搜集一些紧贴学生实际生活的图片和音像材料,采取多样的形式进行课前预热。
Stage 2(5mins):Pre-listening

Listen carefully and find out which sport will s/he take part in.Ask the students to read the two questions carefully. Look at the pictures of 1a on the screen.Read questions on the screen and predict the answers on the exercise book.
Remark:引导学生听对话回答问题的答题技巧。
Stage 3(5mins):While-listening

1(Individual work) Finish 1b Play the recording for the first time without stopping.Play the recording for the second time and stop when necessary.T: I’d like a hero to tell me your answers to all of us.T: Pay attention to the boys’ 800-meter race .What kind of structure is 800-meter Listen to 1a and try to catch the general idea of the dialogue and write down the missing words .Fill in the blanks that they haven’t finished yet and then check the answers.Volunteer reads out her answer loudly, the other students listen carefully to see if there is a wrong part.Ss: The school sports meet is coming...S:800-metre is a compound adjective structure. 该部分的目的在于进行语言输入,让学生从听力材料中了解will表示一般将来时的用法并获取有关询问和表达意愿和打算的表达法。
Remark:该部分的学习不应只停留在听的层面上。在完成听力任务之后,教师应组织学生表演对话从而加深印象,为语言输出作准备。另外,教师还可以让学生跟着录音读对话,关注语音语调。
Stage 4(26mins):Post-listening

1(group work) Organize the students to discuss questions on their learning paper in group. Show the usage of “will” with some exercises on the learning paper. Discuss in group.Do the exercises, then share the results before the whole class.
2(individual work) Start on 2aT:There are four pictures about sports activities. You can easily tell what kind of sports they are. Then you have to match the school interviews with the pictures. Read the school interviews and match them with the pictures.Ss: A-C-B-D
3(group work) Use some pictures of the class from the sports meet that were held last year. To tell them how to ask and answer in pair. Then organize the students to practice 2b in pairs. Ask every student to ask and answer questions in his group one by one. Remind them to take note.T: A school sports meet is really wonderful. S1, you took part in running last year, will you take part in it again T: Good luck to you!T: S2, you were in the relay race last year, will you join in it this year T: I am sure you will win.T: Last year, our class did very well in the sports meet. So I can’t wait for the school sports meet again. What about you It’s time for you to show off yourselves. Now you can make up conversations based on the information in 2a. The following expressions may help you . To make a survey in his group with the sentences in 2b.S1: Of course I will.S1: Thank you.S2:Yes. I am preparing for it.S2: Thanks a lot. 该部分主要通过仿编对话、访谈的活动形式,发展学生读和说的能力,兼顾语言输入和输出,帮助学生在应用的过程中巩固will表示一般将来时的用法。
4(pair work) Let two students report to the whole class.T: I really want to know what our classmates will do in the sports meet. Now let’s welcome our journalists. r S1: Good afternoon boys and girls. Here is the news from Class 2, Grade 8. Today we will talk about the school sports meet.S2: Come with us and see what our friends will do in the coming sports meet. Let’s go!S1: Good afternoon! Will you take part in the sports meet S3: Yes, I will.S1: Which sport will you take part in S3: I will join in the long jump.S1: I am sure you will win.S3: Thank you!.... 这一部分是本节课的中心环节,一来通过对话练习可以巩固学生对句型的掌握,其次即兴采访的方式可以锻炼学生的临场应变能力和口头表达能力。
5(individual work) Ask the students to write a passage about the sports meet according to their note. Remind them to use sentences with “ will” Write alone.
6(class work) Correct three passage from Students of all level. Then mark the work. Listen carefully and learn to give mark to their own passage.
Remark:2a部分可让学生先看图片、进行预测,再阅读文字、进行搭配。2b部分学生对话要反复练习,同时注意教育学生对话中要注意礼貌用语。
Stage 5(3mins):Summarizing and assigning HMK

2 (Class activity) Assign homework:Review the summary after class.Finish Section A in the workbook after class. Finish the HMK after class.. 适当的家庭作业有助于巩固课堂所学的知识。
Remark:在总结本节课所学知识点过程中,教师主要起引导作用,把主动权交给学生,培养学生积极思考,认真总结的习惯。
