Read and Explore
Scan the story about Beethoven and answer the questions in Activity.
Read the story. What can you find about Beethoven's composing of Symphony No.9 and its first performance Use a graphic organiser to organise the Information you find.
Note:
· Read the rubric and the Skill Builder. Draw a diagram to show the main information of the passage and how the passage is structured. Read the passage to find details on Symphony No.9 and supporting sentences.
· Read the story.
· In pairs, while listening, add the details to the diagram.
· Answer the questions in the Skill Builder about the passage that you have just read.
Answer the questions based on your notes. Read the story again if needed.

· Read your sentences to a partner to ' hear' that you sound correct.
