Module4 Planes, ships and trains
Unit1 He lives the farthest from school.
重,难点剖析:
教学目标的答成并不是一口即成的,这就需要我们充分了解学生们的学习困难为学生完成目标而搭建台阶。
.(一)语法难点:采用flash动画讲解,趣味性强,易掌握。
(2)结构难点:对话长,内容多,采取分节问答的形式。降低本
课难度。
(3).写作难点:思维导图(清晰可见,易掌握)。
三维教学目标:
(1)语言知识目标:
1.功能:能够描述比较各种交通方式。
2.语法:形容词,副词的最高级(规则变化),by + 交通工具
3.词汇:基准目标(road,accident , except ,far ,crowded,
be far from, all the time,journey ,close,choice.
(二)语言技能目标:
1 听:能够听懂含有形容词,副词最高级形式的对话及对旅
行方式和交通工具的描述。
2 说:能够使用形容词,副词的最高级形式谈论并比较旅行
方式和交通工具。
3 读:能够读懂有关交通工具的文章,并抓住文章细节。
4 写:能够用形容词,副词的最高级形式对几种交通方式进
行对比,选择自己合适的交通方式。会写调查。
5 运用:能够介绍自己或他人乘坐的交通工具,并进行调查汇报。
(三)情感态度目标:
了解并选择合理,安全的出行方式。感受父母对我们的爱。
【导入】Stage1 Pre-task
1.激活话题背景,构建话题语境Establish situation:
教师由“旅游引出交通方式”导入话题,引出第四模块标题。
I’m from Luoyang. Do you know anything about Luoyang
Would you like to go there with me
How do we go there

〈设计意图〉上课前的简单自我介绍很自然地导入本模块话题”交通方式”,而且旅游也是学生很兴趣的话题. 通过标题、图片构建学习谈论该话题的必要词汇。
2.话题词汇的构建Elicit the vocabulary:
教师提出问题:What kinds of transportation can we choose Let me see if you are familiar with them.
教师在问答中帮助学生学习、构建话题词汇,并为顺利进入下一步形容词副词最高级的引入及练习活动做铺垫。
bike, bus, train, taxi, plane, underground, choice等.
〈设计意图〉通过问题诱导出话题需要词汇, 并促使学生思考、谈论如何比较,选择最佳旅游出行方式.
【呈现和操练】Stage2 While-task
1.比较不同出行方式present and practice the superlative
教师提出问题let’s compare them and see which way is the best choice.
根据不同的图片,从描述性词汇的原级, 比较极自然过渡并引出最高级.
slowest, fastest, cheapest, the most expensive, the most crowded等.
2. 听小对话Activity2 on P26
听力训练刚才练习到的几个词汇.
3. 对话练习 Pairwork
教师布置任务talk about the ways of going to Luoyang.
学生对前面提到的描述性词汇及其最高级强化训练.
4.引入单元话题“上学方式” Present Unit1
①教师抛出问题Do you have time to go to Luoyang this week /this month /this year
(No, we have to go to school every day. ) Why not consider the way to school as a trip, a short travel and enjoy it
②铺垫和预测Prediction:
Instruct the Ss to guess how Betty’s classmates go to school according the distances from their home to school. 〔为听长对话做背景铺垫〕
5.长对话Activity3 on P26
①Set the first task: Listen and finish the chart.
Ss are to listen to see if their predictions were right.
Ss have to finish the chart while listening.
(在语境中感知体会上学方式这一话题〕
②Set the second task. Listen again, answer questions. (听主旨大意和细节)
③ Set the third task. Read and match. (读细节)
④ Set the fourth task. Read aloud by yourselves, and see if you meet any language points. Explain and then finish Activity4 and Activity5. (分析词汇及疑难点)
〈设计意图〉To develop the ss’ skills of listening for the main idea and the details.

4.借助图表转述对话内容。
Now you have known something about Betty’s and his classmates’ ways of going to school, can you retell it in your own words ( If they can’t do it well, show another exercise“Complete the passage according to the conversation.”)(会归纳,会运用)
〈设计意图〉搭建复述的框架,使学生进一步内化“上学方式”这一话题及相关词汇最高级的运用。
【运用和升华】Stage3 Post-task
1.教师设置情境,铺垫任务背景,激发会话:Groupwork
教师将学生分四组,四个记者采访,并汇总报告本组学生最喜爱的上学方式及原因。
〈设计意图〉通过这一任务来练习、内化、输出所学的新语言(词汇和句型)。
To develop speaking fluency on the topic of transportation and the grammar.
2.汇总升华:Discuss“Which is the best way of going to another place ”
3.语法总结:Grammar
① Exercises : 学生通过习题来自己归纳总结语法需要注意的地方。
② Talk big: 对本课语法做趣味练习。
4.Homework
必做:You must do:
A: Go over the vocabulary & expressions about the ways of going to school.
B: Imitate the dialogue in Activity3 after the recording.
C: Review the grammar on superlative on P125-126.
选作:You can choose:
Write a passage “My classmates’ favorite ways to go to school” according to the conversation in Activity 3.
〈设计意图〉课后作业是对课堂上所学内容学习的巩固和拓展。学生通过A、B两项作业可以巩固该话题下的词汇及表达,同时,通过模仿朗读能够规范语音语调并体会对话的语流、语调、节奏,训练听的技能。C项作业学生能对该模块的语法有更系统的复习。
另外分层次作业给学生提供不同难度的内容,有利于促进学生语言技能的提高和英语思维的培养。
同课章节目录
