Step 1 Warming-up
Guide Ss to have a free talk by asking questions.
(1) Have you ever read any English newspapers
(2) When you read a newspaper, how can you find out the most important information quickly
【设计意图】通过自由谈论的形式引入主题,把学生的注意力先引到新闻阅读上来。
Step 2 Presentation
1. Guide Ss to read the newspaper headlines. Pay attention to the tense and the words left out.
2. Guide Ss to read and understand.
3. Guide Ss to learn more about the newspaper headlines.
【设计意图】通过对于headline的分析与对比,引导学生发现其中的规律,为下一步的文章阅读做好铺垫。
