本节课以谈论纽约的变化为话题，复习现在完成时的基本用法，同时引导学生用全面的发展的眼光看待事物。在复习现在完成时基本用法的基础之上，继续学习现在完成时中for 与since 的用法，同时为现在完成时中，短暂性动词转化为延续性动词和时间段连用打下基础。
二. 学情分析：
学生在第一话题中已学习过如何谈论变化，并学习掌握了现在完成时的基本用法。
三. 教学目标：
1. Master the new words, phrases and useful expressions:

Step 1:
Free-talk:
Talk about the changes in Beijing according to some pictures.
(Then show a picture of New York.)
T: Now, New York is one of the most beautiful cities in the word. What has happened to New York these years Today, we’ll learn Topic3 The world has changed for the better. Section A.
Step 2:
1. Listen to 1a and tick what was mentioned about New York . (Finish 1b)
2. Read 1a and try to understand the following sentences.
1).You have been in New York for a long time.
2).They used to be, but the city has changed a lot since I came here a few years ago.
3). As a matter of fact, it's a wonderful place to live.
