知识目标 学生能够认读识记下面的新单词和短语,理解它们的意思和用法。 ruler, boil, remain, smell, national, trade, doubt,nearly,saint by acciden , some time, take place, without doubt 学生能掌握下面的重要句子。 --It is said that a Chinese ruler called Shen Nong was the first to discover tea as a drink. --The book describes how tea plants were grown and used to make tea. --It also discussed where the finest tea leaves were produced and what kinds of water were used. --It is believed that tea was brought to Korea and Japan during the 6th and 7th centuries. 3.学生们能进一步熟练使用be+past participle verb+by结构。

主要教学步骤
Step 1: Lead-in Greet the class as usual. Show students some pictures of tea,and ask students to talk about the questions: How many kinds of drinks do you know How much do you know about tea (3)What are the effects of tea After two minutes, several students will be invited to share their views. 【设计意图】通过展示相关话题图片并设置问题让学生讨论来自然而然的导入新课,引出本节课中有关茶叶的的话题为下面的教学活动作好铺垫。 Step 2:Pre-reading Ask students to Look at the photo, the instruction of 3a and the title of the passage. Then predict what the passage will talk about. After two minutes, several students will be invited to share their predictions. 【设计意图】通过让学生根据已有的信息对文章的主旨进行预测来提高学生们的推测能力,同时对文章有一个总体的把握。 Step 3: While-reading Fast reading: 1.Ask students to read the conversation quickly, then check their predictions. 2.Complete the task in 3a. Read the passage quickly and match each paragraph with its main idea. Paragraph 1 Lu Yu and his book Cha Jing Paragraph 2 How tea spread to other countries Paragraph 3 How tea was invented by accident After two minutes, check the answers. 【设计意图】快速浏览全文,将每段的中心思想与段落连接起来, 这是阅读快读部分,目的是让学生了解文章大意,搞清楚全文的整体框架。训练学生快速抓取信息的能力。 Detailed reading: 1.Complete the task in 3b. Ask students to read the article again and answer the questions.
