(1) staff 指“工作人员”的总称时, 是集合名词, 不用复数。a staff 不是指 “一个人员”, 而是指某一个单位的 “全体人员”, two staffs不是指 “两个人员”, 而是指某两个单位的 “全体人员”。要表示“一个职员, 一个工作人员”, 可说成 a staff member, a staff person 或one of the staff。但如果是复数, 则其中的members可以省略。
