英语学科试题听力原文及参考答案
一、听力原文
1. W: Oh, oh, sir, can.. can you help me
M: Yes, Madam, what’s the trouble
W: I just put my luggage down over there and I was talking with my daughter. But when I came back, it was gone. I’ve been absolutely everywhere.
2. W: Jackson, the Internet here is really slow. Why did you pick this hotel, anyway
M: Uh, because it’s close to the river and has a view of those beautiful trees...I’m actually surprised they even have Internet service all the way out here!
3. M: Why are you so delighted
M: I have been thirsty to buy a new dishwasher for a long time. They normally cost 3000, but today, they are on sale for two thirds of the regular price.
4. W: Did you pass your physical exam
M: No, my eyesight is bad. I need to get glasses. Finally, I’ll be able to see better!
W: You’ll fit in, too. Most of the people I know wear glasses.
5. M: Hello, Madam. I’d like to borrow some English history books. What should I do
W: Fill out this form, show me your ID, and take your picture. After that, I need 100 as a deposit.
6-7. M: What’s our flight number again I don’t see it on the board.
W: It’s AC851, New York to Mexico City. Maybe we’re too early.
M: I told you we needn’t have left too soon. We could have stopped and gotten something to eat.
W: I didn’t know how long it would take at the bookstore. Besides, there are restaurants here.
M: Well, we might as well find the customer service desk and check that our flight is not delayed.
W: Good idea. Then we have to exchange some money. How long did you say the flight was
M: Around 5 hours. It’s about the same time it takes to fly from New York to the state of Arizona.
8-9. M: Thanks for coming on our show, Dr. Lee. Dr. Lee is here to tell us about “man’s best friend”—dogs.
W: Thanks for having me. Dogs are wonderful animals. There’s a reason why they’re called “man’s best friend”—they are very loyal. This is because they used to live in packs in the wild. They feel strong commitment to anyone in their “pack” or family. That’s why they’ll learn to obey commands from the “top dog” or leader in their home. They’ re very smart animals.
M: That makes sense. Now I have a question for you... Are dogs really colorblind I’ve heard people say that, but I don’t know if it’s true.
W: A lot of people ask me that. No, dogs aren’t completely colorblind. They don’t see only black, white, and gray. They mostly see shades of yellow, blue, and purple.
M: Interesting! Thanks for clearing up that mystery.
10-12. M: Linda, I’m going to the gym to learn swimming this afternoon. I’ve never done it before and I’m a little nervous. Can you swim
W: Yes, I’m a good swimmer. Did you sign up for a swimming class
M: No. My father’s friend is a swimming coach, who teaches me for free.
W: That’s good. It’s important to learn standard swimming strokes. Let’s watch a swimming video first, and then you’ll understand what I mean better.
M: Good idea. I’ve already picked out the books to buy. We can go now. What about watching the video over lunch
W: Sounds good. But did you forget something
M: What
W: You’ve been talking to me. Have you forgotten I haven’t chosen my books
M: Oh, my God. I’m so sorry. It slipped my mind. I’m going to select some nice envelopes.
W: OK.
13-16. W: What’s that on your face, Dad You scared me! I thought you were someone who broke into the house!
M: It’s mud. It’s good for your skin.
W: You mean, you just went out in the backyard and picked up some mud from the ground, and then put it on your face
M: No. I bought some mud online. It comes from the Dead Sea in the Middle East. Do you see the color It’s a beautiful gray color because of its rich minerals. The mud in the backyard is mainly brown. And the soil is black. The Dead Sea is famous for its health benefits. People go there from all over the world to swim in its water. Many companies ship the mud to people like me, who can’t take a trip there.
W: Does your face really feel different after you take the mud off
M: Yes, it feels my skin is many years younger. Some of my wrinkles are even going away. Do you want to try it
W: Well, I’m only sixteen years old. I don’t think I need to feel younger.
M: But I’ve noticed your face is very oily sometimes, and that other times it’s dry. This mud is sure to help you with that. It clears up your skin and leaves your face looking bright and fresh.
W: I’ll try it. I’ve been feeling bad about my looks lately. Maybe this will help!
17-20. As traditional forests are destroyed, tiny forest—some as small as a tennis court have sprung up in cities around the world. They’re increasing biological diversity and fighting climate change. These mini forests are inspired by Akira Miyawaki. He’s a botanist, or plant scientist, from Japan who pioneered a unique way of growing forests. It involves planting a wide variety of native tress close together and leaving them to grow into a dense forest. Miyawaki has planted more than1,000 of these in Japan and other countries. The Miyawaki method is said to grow trees 10 times faster than other methods. That’s according to a recent study by Wageningen University in the Netherlands. The study says the diversity of tree species attracts a greater variety of insects and amphibians looking for food and shelter. The Miyawaki method has become popular in Europe. Boomforest is an organization in Paris, France. In November, it planted two forests using Japanese botanist’s method. The group also taught people how they can grow their own mini forests. In the Netherlands, IVN Nature Education has helped communities build 100 forests using the Miyawaki method. The group also educates kids about tiny forests. Simon Lewis is a professor of global change science at University College London in England. He explains that it’s important to grow trees because they absorb carbon dioxide.

参考范文:
Dear Diana,
How is everything going Since you are interested in the Campus Cleanup Day of my school, I’m willing to share more with you.
It’s a voluntary activity on a weekly basis. Every Monday morning, students do a thorough cleanup to welcome a brand-new week. We do whatever we can, such as cleaning the windows and sweeping the floors, to make our campus cleaner and tidier. And the pictures you saw were taken when I was helping in the canteen, where I wiped the tables and placed them in order. From the shining smile and sweat on my face, you can tell how happy and content I was for doing my bit to make my school a place just like home.
What do you think of this activity Looking forward to hearing from you.
Yours,

NBC News published an opinion piece declaring that parents aren’t qualified to make decisions about school curricula for their children. The column, “Schools face parents who want to ban critical race theory — and don’t get how teaching works,” written by author Christina Wyman was instantly roasted on social media.
“Parents and politicians across the country are getting their fingers into the curricula that public schools use to teach students. Some states are passing laws to keep critical race theory out of schools, and school libraries are coming under attack for containing books about gender. There are even parents who are trying to keep students away from learning about mental health and as though helping children build emotional strength is a bad thing,” Wyman wrote to kick off the piece.
“While the political climate and national involvement in school districts give the phenomenon a broader platform and have more serious impact, this behavior is nothing new. Parents have always tried to interfere (干涉) with curricula, as I observed when teaching middle school in the mid-2000s,” she continued.
Wyman then compared parents wanting to have a say in what their children learn to someone barging into an operating room during surgery on their child. “These distractions are nothing more than theater, and school boards and administrators should be protecting their teachers — and students — from it rather than bowing to it.” she wrote.
Wyman, who spent some time discussing her own schooling and Ph.D. in curriculum, painted parents as under-qualified to cut in unless they have achieved the same level of education that is required of most teachers. Wyman wrote. “An educator’s primary goal is to teach students to think. Parents who attempt to influence curricula with their personal opinions block that goal.”
How did Wyman kick off the piece
Presenting some unreasonable phenomena.
Calling for parents’ concern about children.
Stressing students’ mental health problems.
Introducing various public school curricula.
What does the underlined word “it” in Paragraph 4 refer to
Teaching goal.
Level of education.
Parents’ requirement.
Unsuitable curriculum.
Why does Wyman write the opinion piece
To attract readers’ attention to NBC.
To reflect parents’ love for children.
To call for more concern for curricula.
To persuade parents’ out of interfering.
Which word can best describe Wyman
A. Stubborn. B. Qualified. C. Optimistic. D. Unprofessional.

A picture may be worth a thousand words, but thanks to an artificial intelligence program called DALL-E 2, you can have a professional-looking image with far fewer.
Open Al researchers built DALL-E 2 from an enormous collection of images with captions. They gathered some of the images online and licensed others. Using DALL-E2 looks a lot like searching for an image on the web: you type in a short phrase into a text box, and it gives back six images. But instead of selecting pictures from the web, the program creates six brand-new images, each of which reflects some version of the entered phrase. Nearly all of them could probably pass for professional photographs or drawings.
It’s easy to imagine this tool transforming the way people make images and communicate, whether via memes, greeting cards, advertising — and, yes, art.
You might say there’s little artistic value in an image produced by a few keystrokes. But this line of thinking echoes the classic take that photography cannot be art because a machine did all the work. Today the human authorship and craft involved in artistic photography are recognized, and critics understand that the best photography involves much more than just pushing a button.
Some artists, like Ryan Murdoch, have advocated for prompt-based (基于提示的) image-making to be recognized as art. They argue that the art, in using a system like DALL-E 2, comes not just from the final text prompt, but in the entire creative process that led to that prompt. Different artists will follow different processes and end up with different results that reflect their approaches and skills.
It’s too early to judge the significance of this art form. The first films by the Lumiere brothers in the1890s were novelties, not cinematic masterpieces; it amazed people to see images moving at all. AI art software develops so quickly that there’s continual technical and artistic novelty. It seems as if, each year, there’s an opportunity to explore an exciting new technology — each more powerful than the last, and each seemingly ready to transform art and society.
What can DALL-E 2 do for you
It edits your photographs.
It reproduces your paintings.
It collects images from the web.
It turns your words into pictures.
Why does the author mention photography in Paragraph 4
A. To explain a rule. B. To illustrate a point.
C. To present a finding. D. To define a concept.
30. What does the author think of Al art software
A. It is promising. B. It is risky. C. It is unreliable.
D. It is superior.

Pioneers like Harvard social ecologist Stephen Kellert were among the first to champion modern biophilic design. Kellert believed that weaving nature into living and workspaces is critical for good physical and mental health.
Humans have evolved to gravitate towards nature, Kellert noted. His principles include access to natural light, air, water, and plants. Using materials such as wood and stone, biophilic designs such as leaf or shell patterns help humans to feel closer to nature.
Biophilic designs can be seen all over the world. Examples include the Changi Airport in Singapore, with its four-storey forest garden and world’s largest indoor waterfall fed by rainwater, and the Swedish Mirror Cube Tree House Hotel, mainly made of used plywood and a lightweight aluminum frame wrapped around a tree. Incredible biophilic homes include One Central Park in Sydney, apartment blocks featuring hanging gardens on the outside. The buildings recycle their own water and a suspended (悬浮的) motorized mirror system reflects sunlight down onto gardens below. Milan’s Bosco Vertical block is perhaps even more eye-catching with its vertical forest.
Putting biophilic design to work for society could prevent millions in healthcare costs, with one study estimating annual savings of $93 million in the US alone. Hospital design in particular has historically been influenced by access to sunlight and views of nature. Modern buildings like the Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in Singapore, with its position next to the waterfall of the Yishun Pond, are closely linked with their surroundings. The hospital channels outdoor air to cool the inside, and uses reflective sunshades to direct light into the wards to brighten them and save energy.
The aim of these designs is to emphasize the human connection to nature by integrating buildings with the local environment. But how do we bring biophilia into our homes Start with house plants. New smart home apps can also provide sensory nature experiences such as birdsong and a projected forest canopy, helping people to carve out a restful space indoors.
But perhaps the best way to transform society with biophilic designs is to start with schools. Children learn better and feel more relaxed in biophilic settings. So the Children and Nature Network is working with schools across the US to create green schoolyards for better physical and mental health and to increase opportunities for outdoor learning.
Biophilic designers are bringing nature into classrooms through natural patterns, shapes and colors, nature photography, artwork and materials like timber and stone. Fresh air flow, green walls, and aquariums all become part of a recipe for improving health and academic success.
According to the passage, what does Stephen Kellert probably believe
Humans’ inborn love for nature won’t be lessened.
Nature can improve people’s sense of responsibility.
Humans need to appreciate and make good use of nature.
Natural materials have taken priority in modern building designs.
What do the examples of biophilic designs in the passage have in common
They apply smart home technology.
They promote sustainable development.
They include waterfalls and gardens inside.
They use local resources to cut the cost of buildings.
What can we learn from the last two paragraphs
Biophilic designs have greatly transformed schools.
Biophilic designs help improve students’ performance.
Biophilic designs focus mainly on students’ mental health.
Biophilic designs have moved most of the classrooms outside.
Which of the following would be the best title for the passage
A. Let’s Invite Nature Inside B. Live Naturally and Simply
C. The Best Natural Building Designer D. Ups and Downs of Natural Buildings

Find it hard to get started Try these suggestions to help you rise and shine — and be effective from morning till night.
Get up earlier
Sleeping in can be a hard habit to break. Actually, it involves two things — going to bed earlier and getting up earlier. Start off by going to bed 15 minutes before your usual turn-in time and setting
your alarm the same number of minutes earlier the next day. 36.
● Have a good stretch in bed
Before you even open your eyes, stretch every extremity (四肢) for 15 seconds. Lift your arm
and begin by stretching each finger, next your hand, and then your arm. 37 . End with a neck and back stretch that gets you out of bed. By doing this, you will enhance the flow of blood through your system, providing your tissues with extra oxygen.
38
The fewer choices you have to make, the better. Before going to bed, decide what you’re going to wear, work out which route you’ll take to work and what you’ll pack in your bag.
Consult your morning calendar
Hang a large whiteboard in your kitchen. On it, write down all you need to know for that particular day, from doctor appointments to what you’re doing with your friends. Check it carefully
while you sip your first cup of coffee or tea. 39 .
Get moving
. But if you can get yourself into the habit, exercising in the morning can give you energy to jump-start your day.
Plan ahead
Move on to your toes, feet and legs
It will help you to structure your day
Spend less time choosing things when packing
Morning exercise can get you refreshed quickly
If you’re a night owl, an early morning jog might sound like punishment
Gradually reset your sleep cycle until you get to your desired wake-up time
