How time flies! We haven’t seen each other for a long time. Now I’d like to tell you something about my high school life.
I have been in the new school for more than two months. At the beginning of this term, I felt a little lonely. But now I have made many friends. By now, I have got used to my new life here. I miss all the teachers and classmates in junior middle school. At the same time, I get along well with my new classmates. The teachers here are very humorous and I like them very much. I will make good use of my time, because it is my dream to go to a good university after three years’ hard work.
Looking forward to your early reply.
Yours,
Tom

After reading the diary, the son was filled with tears and began to reflect on the days when he used to sit together with his father. His father would patiently answer the same question all 23 times without feeling irritation while his father asked him the same question just four times! The son thought to himself: If I attain old age, how will my son look at me Will he think of me as a burden Will he shout at me because of my poor sight, poor hearing or poor understanding
Paragraph 2:
Feeling ashamed, the son got down on his knees before his father. He made an apology to his father, begging his father to forgive him for his bad behavior. He said this aloud, “I promise to see you happy forever, Dad. It is you who have cared for me since I was a little child, showering your selfless affection on me. You worked hard to make money so that I could afford to go to university. I will serve you in the best day.”注意事项:

Today what I want to do is to share the story of my own.
I used to be the shyest person in the world. I hid behind my elder sister whenever I had
to speak to a stranger. When I was asked to speak in class, I could hardly breathe, much less speak.
Then, in seventh grade, my sister suggested I take voice lessons. After thinking
carefully, I did and tried to keep it a secret. I began a series of exercises, making it so
strange that I couldn't help laughing. I learned how to howl(长嚎) like a cowboy and snort like an old lady.
By playing around with sound in the class, I gained confidence in the part of me that
had been a point of embarrassment before my voice.
A few months later, I was asked to sing for some old people. I thought I would do better than before because of the voice lessons. I opened my mouth and —nothing. I couldn't remember the lyrics! My face turned red. Then the thought came into my mind: I've embarrassed myself enough in front of this crowd. There's really nothing else to lose. So, for my second song. I just relaxed and felt the energy of the song lift me. And I did much better. After that, I started singing to myself as loudly as I could in my room. That's something I had never done before. I am not a shy person anymore. What I really want to say is singing has made me more outgoing.

31.Which is the best word to show the main idea of this passage
A.Singing. B.Change. C.Embarrassment. D.Shyness.

Today the word friendship has been used so often that it has lost its meaning. Some jokingly or seriously say that friends are made to be used. It makes me very sad.
True friendship doesn’t mean that when you need your friend’s help, you will treat
him to dinner, and when you have to protect yourself, you will put your friends in a difficult situation.
In fact, true friendship is the communication and understanding of the hearts.
True friendship is like pared with decent wine, water is tasteless, but is of great help when we are thirsty. True friends don’t need to be with each other every day, but are connected in heart every minute.

True friendship is like medicine. Though it is bitter, it cures your illness. True friends
give you some suggestions even if they know you would not take. They criticize you when others have a good word for you, not because of envy but worrying that you may lose your cool head.
True friendship has nothing to do with fame, power or money. True friends would
often watch you silently far away when you are influential, but come to you whenever you need their help. You’re not his stepping-stone to success, but are his crutch to live through difficulties.
True friends make you complete. Many persons go along with you through your life
─your parents, your husband/wife, and your children, who take care of you and make your life happy. However,, you still need someone who understands your thoughts and souls. Without them, you are likely to be unhealthy in spirit.
True friends stay in your heart, rather than at your side; they know you more than
