The national weather map shows sunny weather from New York to Florida. But there are showers and storms from the Ohio River all the way south to the southern coast.By far the worst of the storms have been in and around Texas.
Some Texas stations have reported up to fifteen inches of rain in a twenty-four hour period with high winds and heavy storms.Heavy snow was reported in the Rocky Mountains district with record cold temperatures. As much as a foot of snow has fallen in some of the mountain stations;however, temperatures in Arizona and in the southwest desert will be over the 39-degree mark again today under bright, sunny skies.
