本课为第12单元的第一课时,从课文内容看,主要学习内容为用短语be supposed to do 和be not supposed to do 来描述不同国家的风俗习惯,如初次见面的礼仪,赴约的注意事项等。
2、学情分析
九年级的学生已经有一定的语言表达能力,能根据老师的要求就某一事情开展讨论,发表自己的观点。但让学生自己表达所了解的外国习俗时,由于知识面有限,可能会存在困难。1、语言知识目标:
词汇:巩固几种见面问候的方式。
2、语言技能目标:
听:能听懂本课录音并完成相应练习。
说:能熟练描述美洲和亚洲国家有哪些见面的问候方式,及赴约需要注意的事项。
3、情感目标:通过比较不同国家的风俗习惯,教育学生要“入乡随俗”,懂得尊重他国的文化。教学目标教学重点:
掌握短语be supposed to do及否定形式be not supposed to do
教学难点:
如何用自己的语言将风俗习惯描述清楚。教学重难点及突破措施突破措施突破重难点的措施:
导入部分小测验形式,看看学生对其他国家的习俗了解多少,自然引入新课-----国家间的文化差异。
练习部分:由于学生本身没什么机会接触外国朋友,可能对他们的一些习俗不是很了解。所以在介绍和他人握手和赴约需要注意什么时,先让学生自己发表意见,再由老师出示一个表格。让学生进行大量的对话练习和小组练习,既丰富学生这方面的知识,又练习了英语口语表达能力。
