短语动词
短语动词分类:
短语动词是由动词加介词、副词或其他词构成的固定词组,其作用和动词差不多。有些短语动词相当于及物动词,有些相当于不及物动词。
类别 例示
1. 动词+介词动词加at,for,from,into,of,to,with构成的短语动词总是动介型的。这类短语动词相当于及物动词,其后必须有宾语,宾语(不管是代词或名词)只能放在介词后,不能放在动词和介词之间。在被动语态中,整个短语动词要作为整体看待,不可拆开或漏缺介词。 1. The police are looking into the matter. 2. 及物动词+副词及物动词加ahead, away,aside,back,in,off,out,forward,on,over,up等构成的动副型短语动词,相当于及物动词,可以用于被动语态,也可有宾语。如果宾语是名词,即可以放在副词之前,也可放在副词之后,如果宾语是人称代词宾格只能放在动词和副词中间。 The house is on fire. Let's put the fire out.
