First ask students to translate the phrases, then let them discuss what is important or not important for you to choose a movie theater.

Ask students to compare by using comparisons and superlatives according to the pictures.
Work on 1b.
First tell students the listening tips, then ask them to listen and match the statements with the theaters, at last check the answers together.

今天我说课的内容是人教版新目标初中英语八年级上册Unit 4 What’s the best movie (Section A 1a-2c )部分,下面我将从教材、学情、教学目标、教学重难点、教法学法、教学准备、教学过程及教学反思等方面对本课的设计进行说明。
一、说教材
本单元是在Unit3 I’m more outgoing than my sister.学习了比较级的基础上进一步学习形容词、副词的最高级,让学生学会描述事物或者人之最,或者描述自己最喜欢或最不喜欢的饭店、戏院、学校等最好的一面和最差的一面,让学生在完成任务的过程中,运用所学知识进行英语交流,培养学生灵活运用比较级和最高级,培养学生运用英语解决实际问题的能力。 本课是这一单元的第一课时,如果学生学得好的话,将为后面的学习打下良好的基础。
二、说学情
八年级学生具有一定的发散思维和抽象思维,且基于第三单元的学习,学生已掌握比较级基本的变化规则,有利于本节课的学习。本课谈论的话题是movie theater,虽然学生很熟悉,也很感兴趣,但去的少。因此,本课采取独立呈现综合操练的方式,让学生逐渐理解消化。在本课教学过程中,在注重启发引导的同时,更注重教学方法的灵活性,激发学生学习的兴趣,让学生乐于接受,易于接受。
说教学目标
知识与技能
1. 能掌握重点单词、短语及句型。
2. 初步掌握形容词及副词的最高级形式,用最高级形式来描述人或物的特殊之处。
3. 能根据他人对话了解个人的爱憎。
4. 培养学生的听说技能。
情感态度与价值观
通过学习使用形容词或副词的最高级对各种事物进行评价,促使学生积极参与英语实践活动。
说教学重难点
1. 教学重点:
(1)掌握重点单词,短语及句型。
(2)初步掌握形容词及副词的最高级形式,用形容词或副词的最高级形式来描述人或事物。
2. 教学难点:用形容词或副词的最高级形式来描述人或事物。
说教法、学法
1.说教法:以任务型教学法为主体,以小组活动,两人协作为依托,以听力、口头练习为载体开展教学。在本课教学过程中,在注重启发引导,培养学生听说能力的同时,更注重教学方法的灵活性,通过任务型教学,情景交际,激发学生学习兴趣,让学生乐于接受,易于接受。
2.说学法:本课主要遵循“以教师为主导,以学生为主体”的教学理念和“练为主线”的教学思想对学生进行学法指导。
(1) 自主学习法:发挥学生的主观能动性,变被动学习为主动学习,带着问题有目的地听课,可以更好地把握课堂的重点和难点,提高课堂效率。在本课中主要体现在组句子,看图片,做听力,对话练习等环节中。
(2)情景体验法: 善于抓住用英语交际的机会,充分感知,积极体验,大胆实践。例如在导入新课时的回答问题,做pairwork (每人都有机会)。
六、教学准备
精美、直观、实用的教具,能有效吸引学生的目光,激发学生学习的兴趣。因此,我们制作了课件,利用多媒体的优势,创设情境,操练新句型和新单词。
说教学过程

【设计意图】采用兴趣型教学策略,通过师生之间的对话,活跃课堂气氛,激发学生学习英语的兴趣。
Step2. Presentation
Learn the new phrases in 1a.
1. Show the pictures of the movie theater on the screen. Let students list the good qualities of a good theater according to the pictures. Teach the new phrases: big screen, comfortable seats, best sound, new movies, popular, buy tickets quickly, close to home , cheap tickets.

【设计意图】通过对以上环环相扣的教学内容的学习,学生已经对形容词及副词最高级有了清楚的认识,本环节以词组英译的形式小结本课词组,句型,语法,进一步加强学生对目标语言的巩固。

【设计意图】这一环节是本节课所学内容的综合运用,针对重难点进行巩固训练,以便培养学生审题、解决实际问题的能力。

八.教学反思
本节课的设计主要是把知识与实际生活联系起来,让学生“在学中用,在用中学”。在设计中,我把知识链和任务链,用一条线索贯穿,让课堂既有知识的操练又有任务的落实,让其更有逻辑性,系统性,层次性。
总之,本节课我结合教材重点、难点及英语学科特点,利用多媒体辅助教学,以学生为主体,以任务为中心,对教材进行适度整合,从听、说等方面使学生得到锻炼,符合学生认知规律、年龄特点,同时课堂上关注学生学情,充分激励学生参与到课堂中,激发学生学习英语的兴趣。当然,难免有不足之处,请各位老师批评指正,我将在以后的教学中进一步改进提高。
