Teaching aims(教学目标)
1.复习有关物品的名称table, bed, computer game bookcase, sofa, chair, book, keys, school bag, clock, tape, etc.
2.学会谈论物品的位置,并且能熟练运用。
Language points(语言点)
1. 要求掌握以下句式:
Where’s my schoolbag It’s under/in/on the table.
Where are my books They’re under/in/on the sofa.
2.要求掌握以下词汇: Things around the house
e.g. where, table, bed, chair, under, they, on
Difficulties(重点难点):
熟练运用表示方位的介词in, on, under, behind, in front of, next to, near等。
Teaching steps (教学步骤)
Step 1. Lead-in
Watch an MV about “on in under”
Step 2. Presentation
Review and learn some words of the things.
----What’s this/that in English ----It’s ________.
----What are these/those in English ----They’re _________.
Step 3. Task1. Group work
Match the words with the things in the picture.
1. Students work in group of 4, use the small cards in Box 3. Put them in the right places in the picture. They have to finish it as quickly as they can.
2. Check the answers with the class.
Step 4. Task2. Free talk
Ask the students to tell others about the position of the things in the classroom.

(Use the position Preposition: on, in, under, in front of, behind, near, next to…)
Step 5. Competition--Find the differences
There are five differences in the two pictures. Can you find them
In picture A, …is/are on/in/under… In picture B, …
Step 6. Listening
Listen to a song. Fill in the blanks.
“Where is Mr. Monkey ”
Step 7. Exercise
Let’s do some exercise to know more about the position preposition.
(If time is limited, do them as the homework.)
Step 8.Game----Strange Position.
There are 3 boxes. Open them. Take out one of small cards from the box. Use the three words to make a correct sentence. Then write down the 3 sentences that the students made.
Step 9.Writing
Use the picture “Tom’ House” again, ask the students to write down 5 sentences to describe the position.
Model: Tom’s Messy House
Tom is a lazy boy. His things are always everywhere.
