Step 1 . Warm- up and lead-in
1. Ask them to make conversations by the pictures
T: Do you like salad S: Yes, I do./No, I don’t
T: Does he/she like fruit
S: Yes, he/she does .No ,he/she doesn’t .
Step 2 . Presentation
1.Show pictures to Ss and ask them to look and read them out, Pay attention to their pronounce after they add –s, -es and –ies.
a.可数名词前可以用 a , an 限定,表一个Grammar Focus.
b.可数名词前可以用 one, two, three …等限定.
Summarize the rules of countable nouns:

Step3. Practice
1.Show pictures to Ss and ask them to write and read the words about their pluralities. Ask them to pay attention to their pronounce after they add –s, -es and –ies.
2. Show pictures with the same way to teach uncountable nouns .Tell Ss that uncountable nouns don’t have pluralities
Explain that some words may be countable nouns and sometimes they may be uncountable nouns like ice cream ,salad and so on .
Step4. Grammar Focus
1.Ask students to review the grammar box and make sure they have mastered “do / does” questions and countable nouns and uncountable nouns.
2. Read the sentences in Grammar Focus and finish 3b.
3. Check the answers with the class.
Step5 . consolidation
1. Ask Ss to look at the pictures and use the first person to talk about their like and dislike with I like …or I don’t like …
2. Ask students to look at another pictures and talk about like and dislike with the third person singular.
T: As we can see from these sentences, the third person singular forms all contain an “s”, while the other forms do not. What is the third person singular main verb What is the third person singular helping verb
S: The third person singular main verb is likes. The third person singular helping verbs are “does” and “doesn’t”.
Then ask them to make sentences with He /she likes …or He / She doesn’t like …
Step6. Exercise
I. First ask Ss to underline the correct words in the brackets ,then check the answers together .
1. I like fruit, but I (don’t / doesn’t) like vegetables.
2. She (like/likes) bread, but she (doesn’t/don’t) like salad.
3. He (like/likes) bananas, but he (don’t/ doesn’t) like oranges.
4. We (likes/like) hamburgers, but we don’t (like/likes) chicken.
5. They (likes/like) pears, but they (don’t/doesn’t) like strawberries.
II. Ask Ss to write out the pluralities of the following words ,give them two minutes ,then check answers ,pay attention to their pronounce .

Step 7 . Survey
1. T: Our likes and dislikes of food are different. Some Ss like these food and other Ss like other food. Let’s make a survey of our likes and dislikes about food.
2. Make an interview to your two classmates about the food and fruit. Find out about what they like and don’t like. Then write it down. Like:
I like …,but I don’t like ….
My friend xx likes…,but he/she doesn’t like….
3. Use mobile phone to take pictures about students’ composition ,then play them on the screen .
