(1) 形容词比较级通常位于系动词之后或名词之前。如:

(2) 副词比较级用于行为动词(实义动词)之后。如:

(3) “比较级+and+比较级”表示“越来越……”。
①通过加-er构成的比较级或不规则变化,直接用“比较级+and+比较级”的形式。如:
It became colder and colder. 天气变得越来越冷了。
②通过在词前加more构成的比较级,用“more and more+形容词 / 副词”的形式。如:
Our city is becoming more and more beautiful.
我们的城市变得越来越美了。
(4) “the+比较级,the+比较级”表示“越……,就越……”。如:
The more you read, the more you will know.
你读书读得越多,懂得就越多。

当我们要将三个或三个以上的事物进行比较时,可以用形容词或副词的最高级形式来表达。
形容词和副词的最高级的变化形式:
(1)规则变化:在词尾加-est或在单词前面加most。详见下表:

注意:形容词的最高级前通常要加定冠词the;副词的最高级前可加,也可不加。

(1)the+形容词最高级+名词+in / of 短语。如:

1. 含义:当两个动词连用时,主要行为动词后面的动词采用了“to+动词原形”的结构,我们把这种结构称为动词不定式。如:
