Following the Internet fame of animal stars such as Shironeko (“猫叔”) the cat and Shunsuke (俊介) the dog, a small “pocket monkey” named Wukong (悟空) has become popular among Chinese Internet users.
Wukong’s popularity began when his owner, Wang Wenqing, posted on Sina Weibo a few pictures of the cute little monkey drinking a soft drink from a straw in a KFC on Children’s Day.
