After playing computer games at my friend’s house, I drove home. I had almost reached my house when I noticed a metal box. It was half buried (埋) under the tree next to my house. I took it out and slowly opened it. I found a ring and a note in it. The note said, “Anyone who wears this ring will have nothing but bad luck.” I didn’t believe that such a beautiful ring could cause bad luck. I took the ring out and put it on. “It must be a joke,” I thought to myself.
However, from that day, my luck turned from bad to worse. I forgot to study for my Maths exam and I failed it. I was also late for the speech by Ms Dragon. She was one of my favourite TV actresses. Even though the classroom was full, I succeeded in finding a seat in the front row. When Ms Dragon walked into the room, I was so excited that I forgot that I had put my water bowl down next to me. I accidentally knocked it over and Ms Dragon slipped on the wet floor and fell on top of me.
“My leg!” she cried out. Some teachers hurried to come to help her, but no one cared about me, who was lying under her heavy body. After I got home, my right hand began to hurt. I started to think that I should return the ring. It did cause me bad luck. I shouldn’t take something that doesn’t belong to me.
