状语从句
状语：用于修饰谓语，非谓语，定语，其它状语以及整个句子
状语从句根据它表达的意思不同，可分为时间、地点、原因、目的、结果、条件、方式、比较、让步等九类
He studies very hard/extremely hard.
Luckily, I had arrived there before it rained.
He runs very fast.
时间状语从句
前：before，在……之前
The train had gone before they reached the station.
中：当……时候
When 点 when The film ended, the people went back.
While 段 I was reading while my mother was cooking
As 同时 I speak as I write on the Blackboard.
When ：突然 正在这时
They were watching the World Cup when suddenly the lights went out.
They had just arrived home when it began to rain.
As 随着，As time goes by, it is getting warmer and warmer.
When/while/as 有时候可以互换使用
When /while/As I was walking in the street, I came across an old friend.
后：after，在……之后
I started to cook after My mom came back.
自从：since
I have been living here since I moved to this city.
直到：till/until
He remained there until/till she arrived.(动作直到…..才结束)
He won’t go to bed until /till she returns.( 才开始)
As soon as : 一……就……
I will tell you as soon as I get the message.
(2)结果状语从句
as a result, so, so...that..., such...that..., that
Eg. It is such a cute cat that we all love her.
It is so cute a cat that we all love her.
这只猫如此可爱所以我们都喜欢她。
The boy is so clever that he can work out the difficult question.
He is such a clever boy that he can…….
He is so clever a boy that he
（3）原因状语从句: because, since, for, as, in that
Eg. I have to do this since /because all of us here are not physicists.
我之所以要这样做是因为在座的各位并不都是物理学家。
In that case, you should go.
既然如此，你当然该去。
(4)条件状语从句: in case, unless(=if...not...), on condition that, if, as long as, so long as, considering that, providing that, provided that, suppose that, supposing that
Eg. You will make great progress if/ in case/ on condition that/ as long as/ so long as/ considering that/ providing that/ supposing that you work hard.
如果你努力学习，你会取得很大的进步。
Victory will not come to us unless we go to it.
胜利是不会向我们走来的，除非我们走向胜利。
(5)比较状语从句: compared to/with, 比较级+than, as+原级+as, not as/so+原级+as
Eg. The quality is better than that one.
这个质量比那个好。
The quality is as good as that one.
这个质量和那个一样好。
The quality is not so/ as good as that one.
这个质量不如那个好。
（6）目的状语从句: so that, in order that, for fear that唯恐
Eg. You should work harder so that/ in order that you will make great progress.
为了有所成就，你需要更加努力工作。
They hid themselves behind some bushes for fear that the enemy should find them.
他们把自己藏在被杂草覆盖的方得后面，以免被敌人发现他们。
(7)让步状语从句: although, as/though, in spite of, , despite, regardless of, whether…..(or)……不管…..还是………../无论是否………
Despite how I feel inside, have to trust it will be alright. I have stand up to be stronger.
尽管如何我感受到它的内在，要相信它会好的。我站起来，更加坚强。
B. though/ although+句子
He knows a lot although/ though he is very young.
尽管他还小，但是他知道很多东西。
Though it is raining outside, they are still working in the field.
Whether……or…….不论…..还是……../whether……or not 无论是否…..
However 无论如何= No matter how.
(8)方式状语从句: as, like, as if, as though
He takes good care of his students as if/ as though they were his own children.
他十分关照他的学生，就像对待自己的孩子一样。
Do as you are told to.
【注】状语从句要遵循主将从现的原则
Eg. When I grow up, I will be a nurse and look after patients.
当我长大了（将来），我想成为一名护士，这样我就可以照顾病人了。
If you go to school, you will learn a lot.
如果你去了学校，你将学到很多知识。
(9)地点状语从句where，wherever, anywhere
Where there is a will, there is a way.
You are free to go wherever you like.
注意
Because =because of
Because 是从属连词，引导原因状语从句，表语从句
Because of 是介词短语，后接名词/代词/动名词，表示原因
In case= in case of 以防 表达目的
He was absent because he was ill. (引导原因状语从句)
His absence for the meeting was because he was ill.（引导表语从句）
His late for the meeting was because it rained heavily. （引导表语从句）
