当主句是一般将来时时, if引导的从句必须用
现在时来表示将来可能发生的动作或存在的状态。
Grammar Focus: if 条件句
在英语里, 当句子的主句为将来时态时, 它所引导的
时间状语从句和条件状语从句都使用一般现在时来
表示将来时间, 这在英语里被称为“主将从现”。
主句的将来时态并不仅限于我们这一课里所学习到
的will+动词原形构成的一般将来时, 还包括be
going to+动词原形、be doing所表示的一般将来时
以及我们以后会学到的其它的将来时态。例如:
What is he going to do when he grows up
他长大了想干什么?
We are leaving for Amoy tomorrow if it doesn’t rain.
如果明天不下雨, 我们就去厦门。
We will buy that microwave next week if its price
keeps going down.
如果价格持续下降, 下个礼拜我们就买那台微波炉。

1. Structure
这里if所引导的是真实条件句(real conditional), 即所
假设的条件有可能成为现实, 表达假定所假设的条件
实现时会出现的情况或会采取的行为。有时, 我们
可以使用并列结构的祈使句来表达这种类型的条件句。
e.g. If you set your alarm clock, you won’t oversleep.
如果你上闹钟, 你就不会睡过头了。
Set your alarm clock, and you won’t oversleep.
If you give him an inch, he will take a mile.
他会得寸进尺。
Give him an inch, and he will take a mile.
If you don’t give him some food, he will starve.
如果你不给他一点吃的, 他就会饿死。
Give him some food, or/else he will starve.
(1)条件状语从句通常由连词if引导, 意为“如果、假如”,
主句不能用be going to表示将来, 而应该用shall、will。 e.g. If you leave now, you are never going to regret it.
(错误) If you leave now, you will never regret it. (正确)
(2) if “如果”, 引导条件状语从句, 主句用一般将来时,
从句则用一般现在时,如:  If it rains tomorrow, I shan’t climb the hills.
2. 用法
注意: 宾语从句中的if与条件状语从句if的区别。
宾语从句中的if “是否”相当于whether, 引导
宾语从句, 时态需根据语境确定。 I don't know if it will rain tomorrow.
我不知道明天是否会下雨。
在阅读英文文章时, 我们有可能看到这样的句子:
If my father will give me permission, I shall spend a few
months abroad.
如果我父亲同意, 我将在国外待几个月。
If you will take the trouble to read his letter carefully,
you will see what he means.
如果你肯花一些时间来认真读他的信,你就会明白
他是什么意思了。
在if-分句中中用“will+动词原形”并不单纯表示将来意义,
这里的will是个表示“意愿”的情态动词, 相当于be willing to
(愿意)。
要注意这种带“will+动词原形”的if-分句在某些场合
是不可以随便用的, 比如我们可以说:
If he gets my letter in time, he’ll be able to change
his plans.
如果他及时收到我的信, 他就能改变他的计划。
却不可以说成:
If he will get my letter in time, he’ll be able to
change his plans.
另外, 在if-分句中还可能使用“would+动词原形”的结构,
这种用法还是表示“意愿”, 常用于表示客气的请求, 这时
主句动词既可以用will/ shall+动词原形, 也可以用would/
should/ could/ might+动词原形。如:
If you would try Italian food, you would like it.
如果你愿意尝尝意大利食物, 你会喜欢它的。
If you would reserve the seats, we would be sure of a
comfortable journey.
如果你愿意订座, 我们将肯定会有一个舒适的旅程。
【温馨提示】 希望下面这则顺口溜可以帮同学们学好if 引导的条件状语从句的用法。
if 条件句不一般,几个要点记心间;
条件句,放在前,逗号要放句中间。
条件句表可能,主句多用将来时;
条件句表事实,主句常用现在时。

⑥ go; how to + 动词原形 表示“如何做某事”,是复合不定式结构。

全单元教案
一、教学内容及分析
本单元是以“参加聚会”为话题,开展教学活动。通过谈论某个推断,学习if以引导的条件状语从句。通过丰富多彩的语言实践,既掌握了flower, against, chance, tonight等词的用法,又在语言情景中对 if 状语从句主句用将来时,从句用一般现在时进行了充分的操练。与此同时,我们还要学习许多新词如jeans, organize, agent, lawyer 等。引导学生用If引导的条件状语从句来谈论事件之间的因果关系,并分析得出处理决定,或给出解决的意见。从而培养听力,口语交际及逻辑判断的能力。 进一步了解有关国内外一些特殊职业情况,培养协调能力和合作精神,体会学习英语的乐趣,树立远大的目标,并为之不懈地努力。

本单元教材面对的是八年级学生 ,他们英语上听说读写等技能有一定的基础,能基本上用英语表达简单的句子及意思。学习本单元之前接触过一些条件状语从句,也提到过主将从现得原则。加上本单元的单词基本上都是他们学过的 。在前边谈论的话题的基础上进一步的引申,比如谈到规章制度,谈到未来的理想等话题,学生们都很熟悉。所以在进行本单元的内容时如果能有效地温故而知新就减小了难度。
三、单元整体目标分析

五、教法选择、学法指导与资源准备
根据《英语课标》和本单元教材内容,以及八年级学生的生活、学习实际,我采用任务型语言教学,情景视听法,交际法途径, 将教学目标设计成符合学生生活学习实际的任务链,尽量使学生在参与任务的过程中学习运用语言,形成语言能力,并使用多媒体辅助教学手段为学生学习营造较好的语言学习环境,采用推测、查阅或询问等方法进行学习,提高学生学习语言的积极性。设计探究式的学习活动,促进学生实践能力和创新思维的发展,使语言学习的过程成为学生形成积极的情感态度、主动思维和大胆实践、形成自主学习能力的过程。同时在教学中引导学生运用观察、发现、归纳和实践等方法,并以循序渐进的方式来进行教学。
学法指导:自主学习与合作学习相结合,听说读写相结合,知识学习与技能培养相结合。

一、含if条件状语从句的主从复合句
1. If条件状语从句中,主句用一般将来时,从句用__________表示将来。________原则

2. if条件状语从句中,如果主句有must,can,may等情态动词,从句用__________。

1. Ss skim the passage first. Try to know the meaning of the passage.
Then Ss read the passage carefully again and try to fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the verbs in the brackets.

① know; do 句意“我不知道明晚参加迈克的生日聚会的事怎么做?”don’t 后跟动词原形;what to + 动词形式,复合不定式结构。
② think; 本句表达一客观事实,主语parents是复数形式,故一般现在时态。句意“我父母认为我应当为下周的英语考试而学习”
③ go; will be; 本句是含if条件状语从句的主从复合句;应遵循主将从现原则。句意“如果我去参加聚会,他们会很失望。”
④ tells; have; 本句为but连接的一并列句,后半句为一般现在时,故前半句也应是一般现在时,主语Mike是第三人称单数形式,故填tells;don’t后跟动词原形。
⑤ wear; will look; 本句为含if条件状语从句的主从复合句,应循主将从现原则。句意“如果我穿牛仔,我会看起来很糟糕。”
⑥ go; how to + 动词原形 表示“如何做某事”,是复合不定式结构。
walk; will take; 本句为含if条件状语从句的主从复合句,应循主将从现原则。句意“如果我步行去,将会花费我很多时间。”
⑦ take; will be;本句为含if条件状语从句的主从复合句,应循主将从现原则。句意“如果我乘出租车去,又将会很贵。” 。
3. 最后,学生们再次阅读短文一遍,进行深入理解。
Step 3 Work on 3b:
1. 让学生们阅读所给的条件或结果,整体把握对话的意思。
2. 然后根据自己的生活经验,想一个结果或条件。表达结果时用will + 动词原形;表达条件时用if条件句,注意谓语动词用一般现在时态。
3. 让学生们相互问答这些问题。 并查对他们句子中的错误。

2. Write a story with your group on a piece of paper. The first person begins with story with “I think I will….” The others add sentences with “if”, Pass the paper around twice. Then read the story.

Robert Hunt advises students about common problems. He feels the same way as Laura. “It is best not to run away from our problems. We should always try to salve them.” He thinks the first step is to find someone you trust to talk to. This person doesn't need to be an expert like himself. Students often forget that their parents have more experience than them, and are always there to
help them. In English, we say that sharing a problem is like cutting it in half. So you're halfway to solving a problem just by talking to someone about it!

worries是名词worry的复数形式,意为“令人忧
伤的人或事”.
worry意为“烦恼,忧愁,忧虑”,指因遭遇困难或不
如意的事而苦闷,是不可数名词。
如:My chief worry is that he doesn't have experience我的主要忧虑是他没有经验。

worry作及物动词,意为“使担心”;做不及物动词,意为“ 担心”。

mistake意为 “错误,过失”,可指没有做对或做得不好的事物,也可指错误的想法或见解,还可指“误解”或“误会”。
mistake后可接介词短语、动词不定式、现在分词作定语。接about表示“关于…的错误”,接in表示“某方面的错误”。make a mistake表示“犯错误”;
by mistake表示“错误地”。
如:You've made several grammatical mistakes in the composition.
你的作文中犯了几处语法错误。
Tom must have taken your dictionary by mistake.
汤姆一定是弄错了才拿了你的字典。
4. In English, we say that sharing a problem is like cutting it in half.在英语中,我们说与人分担一个烦恼就像把麻烦分成两半。
share 是“分享;分担;共同承担”的意思。如:

句型讲解
1.What will happen if they have the party today
if作为连词,引导条件状语从句,它表示的意思是“假如”“如果”等。引导条件状语从句最常用的连词是if,常见的if条件状语从句表示在某条件下,某事很可能发生,条件是可能存在的,主句中某种情况发生的概率也是很高,主句不能用be going to表示将来,而应该用shall,will。如:If you leave now, you will never regret it.如果你现在离开,你将绝不会后悔。if 引导的条件状语从句,其结构为:If+一般现在时 ,主语+shall/will+动词原形。要注意在状语从句中有一个规则是“主将从现”,即主句是将来时,则从句要用一般现在时表示将来。 如:
If it rains tomorrow, I shan’t climb the hills.如果明天下雨,我将不会爬山。
2.The students are talking about when to have a class meeting.
meeting是名词,意为“会议,集会;会面”,作“聚会”解时,多指出于偶然的机会,在某地与某人相遇。meeting作“会议”解时,指任何有组织的、有领导的、公开的或私下的各种集会,多在室内举行,目的是商讨议案、作出决定等。如:
The meeting will deal with these problems. 本次会议将就这些问题作出处理。
Our meeting in Beijing was later than I expected. 我们在北京的会面比我们预想的要晚。
meeting用作主语,谓语动词多用单数形式。 meeting前常加介词at,表示“在会议上”; 而表示“在会议期间私下说话”则用介词in。

organize是动词,意为“组织,筹备”,organize的过去式是organized,即组织某人或某事物,将某人或某事物编入组织或系统,使之相互联系,且每一个体在组织中都有其恰当的作用或职责。如:
I believe I have the ability to organize a party.我相信我有能力组织一次社交聚会。
Don't ask them to organize the trip, they'll only screw everything up.
别让他们组织此行,他们准得把一切都搞糟了。
organized还可作形容词,意为“有组织的,有条理的”,如:
An organized program of advertisements.有组织的大规模的广告计划。
4.Can you give me some advice please
advice意为“劝告;建议”是不可数名词,不能说a advice, 而是a piece of advice,也因为advice是不可数名词。“两个(则)建议”,我们通常说two pieces of advice。注意piece要采用复数,advice不可数,但piece可数。我们也可以说为some pieces of advice一些建议。如:
Can you give me some advice 你能给我一些建议吗?
与advice有关的一些词组:ask advice of 向...征求意见, 请教 by sb.'s advice 依某人劝告 on sb.'s advice 依某人劝告 follow sb.'s advice 接受某人意见 give advice 劝告, 忠告

keep....to oneself意为“保守秘密”,如:
One must keep such interests to oneself.有这类爱好不该让人知道。
We should keep their worries to themselves。我们应该为他们的忧虑保守秘密。
keep....to oneself还可意为“不与人来往;不交际”,如:
Keep sb at arm's length not allow oneself to become too friendly with sb.
与某人保持距离;不使自己太亲近某人。

worries是名词worry的复数形式,意为“令人忧伤的人或事”.worry意为“烦恼,忧愁,忧虑”,指因遭遇困难或不如意的事而苦闷,是不可数名词。如:

worry作及物动词,意为“使担心”;做不及物动词,意为“ 担心”。worry about {or} over sth/sb意为“担心某事/某人”句:
Your worry is always triggered by some external event or happening.
你总是为一些外因或事情而烦恼。
Don't worry, he'll be alright.别担心,他不会有事的。
I did not want to worry my friend.我没想麻烦我的朋友。
7.Unless we talk to someone,we’ll certainly feel worse.
unless在此做连词,意为“除非,如果不”;它所引导的条件状语从句常用一般现在时表示将来意义,主句多用一般将来时。unless在表示“除非”时,如其引导的从句谓语是be,而从句的主语跟主句的主语相同时,从句的主语和be就可省略。有时从句中主语为it时,也可省略it或从句中的有关成分。 如:
Nothing could stop me from waiting for you to come back unless death.
除了死亡再没有别的事物能够阻止我等待你回来。
8. Her dad said he sometimes made careless mistakes himself.
careless做形容词,意为“粗心 的”“不小心的”,在句中可用作定语或表语。如:It was careless of you to leave the door unlocked. 你没锁门,太粗心了。
The careless waiter dropped the dish onto the ground.
那个粗心的侍者把盘子摔到了地上。
mistake的基本意思是“错误,过失”,词义笼统,使用广泛,可指没有做对或做得不好的事物,也可指错误的想法或见解,还可指“误解”或“误会”。mistake后可接介词短语、动词不定式、现在分词作定语。接about表示“关于…的错误”,接in表示“某方面的错误”。“犯错误”是make a mistake; “错误地”是by mistake。 如:
You've made several grammatical mistakes in the composition.
你的作文中犯了几处语法错误。
Tom must have taken your dictionary by mistake.
汤姆一定是弄错了才拿了你的字典。
【语法解读】
条件状语面面观
条件状语大致有以下几种表示法:
1. 用从属连词引导状语从句,表示条件。
( 1 ) if 意为“如果”,是最普通的从属连词之一,表示条件。 if 引导的从句中可以用陈述语气,也可以用虚拟语气。例如:
If you are tired,we will go straight home.
如果你累了,咱们就立刻回家吧。
If winter comes,can spring be far behind?
(如果)冬天来了,春天还会远吗?
If Columbus had not discovered America,somebody else would have discovered it.
如果哥伦布没有发现美洲,别人也会发现的。
If the sea were to rise 500 feet,India would become an island.
如果海洋水面上升 500 英尺,印度就将变为一个孤岛了。
If it should rain tomorrow,the crops would be saved.
如果明天下雨,庄稼就得救了。
( 2 )从属连词 unless 意为“如果不,除非”,含否定意义,相当于 if not .例如:
We are leaving now unless you want us to wait for you.
如果你不要我们等你,那我们现在就走。
As we know now, heavy objects and light objects fall at the same speed unless air holds them back.
现在我们都知道,如果没有空气的阻力,重的物体和轻的物体垂直下落的速度是一样的。
( 3 )从属连词 once 意为“一旦”,强调的是条件。 once 引导的从句可以位于句首,也可以位于句末。例如:
Once the masses have a common aim, they will work with one heart.

Once you show any sign of fear, he will attack you.

China will shake the world once it awakens.

( 4 ) so long as 和 as long as 是复合连词,作“只要”解,引导条件状语从句,强调主句所述的情况和从句所述的情况同时并存。在表示条件时,前者比后者更常用。例如:
We shall overcome the difficulties so long as we follow the Party’s correct policy.
只要我们执行党的正确政策,我们就能克服困难。
Rice will grow well so long as it is given enough sunlight and a good supply of water and fertilizer.
只要能得到充足的阳光、水和肥料,水稻就能长得很好。
Under the leadership of the Communist Party, as long as there are people, every kind of miracle can be performed.
在共产党的领导下,只要有了人,什么人间奇迹都可以创造出来。
As long as we have a strong determination to serve the people heart and soul, everywhere we see occasions for doing so.
只要有一颗全心全意为人民服务的心,到处都有为人民服务的机会。
( 5 ) suppose, supposing 或 let’s suppose
都相当于一个从属连词,表示一种设想的情况,意为“假如”。由它们引导的状语从句多与疑问形式的主句搭配。例如:
Suppose he is absent,what shall we do?
假如他不在,我们怎么办?
Supposing the plane does not arrive on time, what shall I do?
假如飞机不能准时到达,我该怎么办呢?
Let’s suppose that we had not helped him, what would have happened?
假如我们没有帮助他,会发生什么情况呢?
( 6 ) on condition that 是复合连词,意为“条件是”,暗含某种特定的条件意义。例如:
She will join us on condition that you also be there.
她和我们一起去,条件是你也将在场。
He said that he would come to the meeting on condition that no one asked him to speak.
他说他将出席这个会议,条件是不要让他发言。
( 7 ) in case 相当于从属连词,意为“如果,假如,免得,以防(万一)”,引导条件状语从句。例如:
In case it pours, do not expect me.
如果大雨倾盆,就不要指望我来了。
In case he arrives before I get back, please ask him to wait.
如果在我回来以前他来到,请他等我一下。
Send me a message, in case you have any difficulty.
万一有什么困难,请给我捎个信来。
( 8 ) if only
意为“但愿,要是……就好了”,引导条件状语从句。这样的条件通常是虚拟的,用来表示说话人对某事物寄予的强烈愿望。这样的从句通常没有相应的主句与之搭配。例如:
If only he were alive! 要是他活着该多好呀!
If only Tome knew about it!
但愿汤姆知道那件事!
If only I had arrived on time!
我那时要是能按时到达就好了!
2. 介词短语或复合介词短语通常也可以作状语,表示可能实现的条件。
可以这样用的介词或复合介词通常有:with , without , in case of , in the event of ,but for 等。这时句子的谓语动词中通常含有 can , will , could , would 等情态动词。例如:
With such knowledge and experience, he is sure to succeed.
有了这样的知识和经验,他一定会成功。
With nothing taken home, the man hesitated to explain the matter to his wife.
如果没有东西带回家,对妻子是不是解释这件事,那个人拿不定主意。
Without water, nothing could live.
没有水,什么也活不了。
Without the leadership of the Communist Party of China, there would be no new China.
没有中国共产党,就没有新中国。
In case of my absence, who will take my place?
万一我不能来,谁来顶替我呢?
In case of any difficulty, you must consult with the masses.
如果碰到困难,你应当和群众商量。
In the event of her going to Shanghai, her children will be put under my care.
假如她到上海去,她的孩子将交给我照看。
But for his uncle’s help, Jack would not have finished his college education in time.
要没有他叔叔的帮助,杰克是不会及时完成大学学业的。
3. 用分词结构作状语,表示可能实现的条件。例如:
Combining two atoms of hydrogen with one of oxygen, you will get a molecule of water.
如果两个氢原子与一个氧原子结合,就可以得到一个水分子。
Given (= If we were given ) more time, we could do it better.
如果多给我们一些时间,我们就能把这件事做得更好。
Given the lengths of the two sides of a right-angled triangle, we can find out the length of a third side.
要是知道直角三角形两个边的长度,我们就能求出第三边的长度。
Compared with China, the United States is a young country.
和中国相比较,美国是一个年轻的国家。
【读写指导】 如何写好命题作文
【点石成金】
命题作文就是我们依据所给题目,确定中心,选择材料,写出符合题意,内容表达具体、充分的文章。
写命题作文通常要注意以下几点:
1.审准题目:文章的中心要由对题目的分析来确定,一定要弄清主题的内涵,确立与文章联系的主题思想,表达不能游离于主题,否则即使内容再精彩,也是“跑题”作文,得分将会大打折扣,因此,写命题作文最重要的是先审清题目,确立要表现的?中心?。
2.构思结构:就是开放思路,启动联想,构想表现形式,勾勒出文章的结构层次,依次写出引言段、主题句、发展段和结尾句,努力使之新颖、别致。
3.选择材料:这一点很重要,一定要围绕想表现的中心去选择组织材料,所选的材料必须典型精要。?
4.表达:就是用最确切明了的语言贯穿材料,表达自己的思想,力争符合英语语法规则。英语表达习惯用最顺畅自然的词、句、段去表达中心思想,与表现中心无关的话即使再生动形象也不要去写。就写作的目的表现形式来看,命题作文分为三种形式:(1)记叙文类;(2)说明文类;(3)议论文类。
【任务导入】以“If I Am a Teacher”为标题写一篇词数为80左右的英语短文。
要求:
1.主题明确;语言流畅;思路清晰。
