maybe 是副词，意为“也许；可能”，在句中作状语，常位于句首。
【易混辨析】may be与 maybe
I can’t find my book in the schoolbag. It may be in my drawer. 我在书包里没有找到我的书，它可能在我的抽屉里。
Maybe she will come this afternoon. 她可能今天下午来。
(1) a little 在此处作状语，可修饰形容词或副词，表示程度，与a bit同义。
It’s a little hot today. 今天有点儿热。
The question is a little difficult. 这个问题有点难。
a little 一点；少量

(2) a little还可作定语，意为“一点；少量”，修饰不可数名词。
He drinks a little milk every day. 他每天喝一点牛奶。
【易混辨析】few/a few与 little/a little
四者都可修饰名词，具体用法如下：
few 表示否定含义，“几乎没有” 修饰可数名词复数 There are few eggs in the refrigerator. 冰箱里没几个鸡蛋了。
a few 表示肯定含义，“少量；一些” His mother works a few hours a day.他妈妈一天工作几个小时。
little 表示否定含义，“几乎没有” 修饰不可数名词 I have little free time. 我几乎没有空闲时间。
a little 表示肯定含义，“一点；少量” I know a little French. 我懂一点儿法语。
