Step1.Lead-in:
1.Greet the students and ask Ss:”Did you have a good summer vacation ”
2.Talk about my own summer vacation,and then let Ss talk about their summer
vacations.
3.Show some pictures of some places of interest and elicit the topic of this lesson:talk
about past events.
Step2.Presentation:
1.Show some pictures and present the target language
:--Where did you go on vacation --I........
--Where did he/she go on vacation --He/She......
--Where did they go on vacation --They......
2.Let students learn in pairs and memorize the phrases.
3.Play a game.(Consolidate the phrases).
Step3:1a Matching
1.Ask students to look at the picture.Each picture shows something a person did in the past.Ask students to match each phrase with one of the pictures.
2.Check the answers.
Step4:Listening
(1)Tell students they will hear three conversations.People are talking about what they did on vacations.Then play the recording.The first time,students just listen.
(2)Play the recording again,have students fill in the blanks with the numbers.
(3)Check the answers.
Step5:1c
(1)Ask students to make conversations about the people in 1a.
(2)Let students make their own conversations.
(3)Invite some pairs to present their conversations.
